You will manage the day-to-day operations of the facilities, overseeing all activities and delivering cost-effective first-class services and standards whilst ensuring the delivery of our vision and strategy. \n\nKey Responsibilities include:\n\nEncourage innovation and drive change within the centre to maximise profitability and customer satisfaction\nDevelop and implement the overall provision of services, operational plans, policies and programmes to ensure the centre achieves its targets and objectives\nImplement, review and report on the Centre’s Annual Service and financial plans\nLead and develop an effective, cohesive centre management team to deliver on their individual and centre objectives\nBuild and sustain collaborative relationships with other organisations and customers.\nDrive and implement the strategic and corporate decision making, to ensure the centre maximises its short-, medium- and long-term profitability \nEnsure the centre is properly resourced so that it is able to effectively and efficiently deliver the development plan and contractual terms and conditions\nImplement, maintain and manage an effective system of controls throughout the centre covering both financial and non-financial aspects of the business\nProvide clear leadership with regards to compliance with all health and safety procedures and requirements, fixing or escalating issues as appropriate, ensuring the centre fully complies with all relevant legislation and best practice\nEnsure that appropriate standards of conduct are established and complied with at all times. \nLine management responsibilities for recruitment, induction, delivering training, appraisal, development and performance management of staff, including 1-2-1s\nEnsure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with Lampton’s Safeguarding policy.\nIn conjunction with the HR team implement effective recruitment, people management, development, retention and succession planning strategies for the centre\n\nAbout you:\n\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:\n\nSignificant management experience in the leisure or hospitality sector\nExperience of recruiting, developing and performance managing staff\nActive affiliation with appropriate networks and organisations and ongoing community involvement\nClear understanding of all aspects of financial planning\nKnowledge of health and safety and employment legislation and best practice\nExcellent communication skills, including the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate with clients and third parties\nProblem solving and analytical skills\nExcellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office\nLeadership skills, including the ability to inspire, motivate and develop the team\n\nEducation & Qualifications Required:\n\nFirst Aid at Work qualification \nPool Plant Operator qualification\nH&S qualification\n*Please note, whilst these are required, full training can be provided if needed. \n\nDue to the needs of the business and the department, we may interview suitable candidates before the closing date.
