The COVID-19 Urgent Appeal catalysed unprecedented public and philanthropic support, leading to the creation of a structured senior leadership team and a new development directorate. As we move beyond our COVID-19 legacy, we are redefining our mission: to unite every voice to build a new era of NHS healthcare, enabling the NHS to deliver the best care in the world. This requires a strategic shift to a unified approach focused on sector mobilisation, sustainable income, and transformational impact. The Director of Development will lead this change. This is not traditional fundraising - it’s about creating sustainable income models, mobilising the sector, and unlocking transformational giving. We are looking for someone who is: * Commercially astute, with experience in wealth management, consultancy, or large-scale philanthropy. * Entrepreneurial, with a track record of building income-generating models and strategic partnerships. * Skilled at engaging senior stakeholders across government, healthcare, and philanthropy. * Comfortable navigating complex systems and balancing mission-driven purpose with business pragmatism. * Experience in the NHS or healthcare charity sector is not essential, but the ability to speak the language of government, policy, and commercial growth is critical.
