Lead Technical Account Manager – AI / Retail Startup London (Hybrid) | Up to £80k + 10% OTE + Equity | Full-time We’re partnered with a DeepTech AI scale-up that’s transforming how retail technology operates, no cloud required. Their patented, on-device AI platform is already live in 400+ stores across 12 countries, powering real-time product recognition and loss prevention for some of the world’s largest retailers. The Opportunity They’re hiring a Lead Technical Account Manager to own the technical rollout and success of enterprise retail clients, ensuring their AI platform is deployed seamlessly into on-premise store infrastructure across global retail networks. This is a strategic, customer-facing delivery role that blends technical depth with operational leadership. You’ll guide post-POC rollouts, shape integration plans, manage live deployments, and lead a growing TAM function — all while feeding insights back into the product roadmap. This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record in delivering on-prem tech solutions into complex retail environments, from PoS systems and store networks to edge devices and AI pipelines What You’ll Do • Lead technical rollout and post-POC expansion into enterprise retail environments — across multiple regions and thousands of edge devices., • Act as the primary technical interface for strategic retail customers, guiding deployment, integration, and operational success., • Create and scale playbooks for deployment, monitoring, retraining, and performance optimisation., • Collaborate with Product and ML teams to turn field data (e.g. lighting conditions, SKU-level precision) into product improvements., • Drive measurable outcomes — improved shrink rates, higher accuracy, and clear ROI — backed by data and strong reporting. About You Must-have experience: • 8+ years in Technical Account Management, Solutions Delivery, or Customer Engineering roles., • Hands-on experience delivering on-premise technology into retail environments — including PoS systems, self-checkouts, store networks, or CCTV. APIs, SDKs, or cloud-to-edge integrations. • A proven ability to manage both the technical detail and strategic relationship with enterprise clients. Bonus if you have: • Experience with computer vision, IoT, or loss prevention systems., • Led or scaled Technical AM or field engineering teams., • Worked closely with hardware vendors in retail or similar sectors.
