Sushi Daily Waitrose St'Albans! We are looking for a full time Sushi chef and part time Assistant sushi chef. Here at Sushi Daily we offer daily freshly hand made sushi prepared in store at Waitrose for Customers to enjoy at home or on the go. We are looking for team members with at least 1 years of Sushi Making and fish cutting experience. • prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri and sashimi, • manage food prep activities, like cooking rice, cleaning and cutting vegetables, • maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shift. Our ideal candidates will be: • dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, • honest, reliable and passionate, • have weekend availability and a good level of flexibility, • Health and Safety certificate, knife handling skills, food hygiene certificates and allergens certificate preferred. The role will be on an hourly rate dependent on experience and an immediate start is available for the right applicant or we can work with your timescales. Supervise daily activities to ensure efficient stocking, and customer assistance. Maintain visual presentation and cleanliness standards. Monitor product availability and initiate timely stock replenishment. Train and support staff in product knowledge, customer service, and in-store procedures. Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring positive outcomes. Ensure compliance with health & safety and hygiene policies, Perform regular floor walks to monitor team performance and identify operational issues. Assist with scheduling shifts, break times, and assigning tasks during peak hours. Report staff issues, and operational concerns to the Floor or Store Manager.
