Job Title: Tax Manager Location: Address: Welwyn Garden City OR Burgess Hill Mode of working: Hybrid (2 Days in the Office) Duration: 6+ Months contract initially Job description : The Tax Manager will be a central figure in managing the tax lifecycle, with a core emphasis on advisory and business integration: • Business Partnering & Advisory: Partner with the UK&I Tax Director to provide expert tax guidance and strategic support to the UK&I businesses and the wider organization, acting as a trusted consultant., • Compliance & Governance Oversight (Indirect Tax Focus): Oversee the integrity of our tax control framework and procedures. This includes managing direct and indirect tax compliance, with a significant focus on VAT and also Corporation Tax. You will manage processes carried out by the in-house team, shared services centre, and coordinate external partners. Experience & Qualification: • Extensive tax experience gained within a multinational organization (in-house tax or finance function with strong tax exposure) or a reputable professional services firm., • A professional qualification in accounting or tax (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) is essential., • Experience in Transfer Pricing, UK R&D Tax Credits, and/or Irish taxes is highly advantageous, • Technical Foundation: A solid and demonstrable expert understanding of UK and Irish VAT regulations, as well as strong knowledge of UK Corporation Tax and accounting principles., • Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with key business systems (e.g., SAP, Google/Microsoft applications).

Coordinate processes with in-house teams, shared services, and external partners., • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure seamless cross-functional delivery., • Project Leadership: Provide holistic tax support for high-value ad-hoc projects, business transactions, and change initiatives., • Global Policy Execution: Ensure adherence to Group transfer pricing methodologies and implement Group tax strategies across UKI entities., • Reporting Excellence: Oversee tax-related processes for group and statutory accounts reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery., • Authority Management: Support the Tax Director in maintaining relationships with UK-Irish Tax Authorities, proactively managing inquiries and queries What You Will Bring: Essential Qualities Experience & Qualification: • Extensive tax experience within a multinational organization, in-house tax/finance function, or reputable professional services firm., • Expert understanding of UK and Irish VAT regulations., • Proven project management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills., • Track record of successfully managing complex projects and achieving business outcomes., • Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with key business systems (e.g., SAP, Google/Microsoft applications). Desirable Assets: • Experience in Transfer Pricing, UK R&D Tax Credits, and/or Irish taxes., • Prior experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry., • Proven stakeholder management, coaching, or leadership experience.
