MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Shift Pattern: • Continentals, • 12x hour shifts (Days/Nights) The Job You’ll Do. • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using wiring diagrams and schematics., • Troubleshoot PLC systems, specifically Siemens platforms., • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks (PPM)., • Install and commission new machinery and equipment., • Identify, overhaul, and repair faults within mechanical systems., • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems., • Supporting with the installation of new machinery and cabling, as well as updating older models About You; • Minimum of a time served apprenticeship in maintenance engineering to NVQ Level 3 (Electrical bias preferable), • A HNC or above in a relevant discipline (desirable), • PLC fault finding experience (Siemens), • Experience with electrical cable installations and maintenance, • Mechanical aptitude and experience is also desirable, • Computer literate – Microsoft Office., • Possession of an IPAF licence, MEWP (desirable), • FLT licence (desirable), • Able to work both independently and as part of a small team
