We are seeking a dynamic and up and coming Human Resources Manager to build and lead the HR function across our maritime UK Production facility and UK/EU located roles. In this role, you will also co-design, develop, and execute the local HR strategy in alignment with SYOS' business objectives and global HR framework. You will be a crucial partner to the relevant Leadership Team, responsible for ensuring an engaged, high-performing workforce that supports the efficient and compliant operation of our production facilities. You will be strategic and hands-on, and both a seasoned generalist and a proactive builder who thrives in a dynamic high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, lead, and execute the comprehensive local HR strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and global HR initiatives., • Act as a strategic advisor to the Leadership Team on people-related matters, organisational design, and workforce planning., • Establish the essential structures that ensure compliance, fairness, and scalability as the business grows, including policies, procedures, essential documentation and lead UK/EU HRIS implementation., • Oversee and direct complex employee relations., • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation., • Lead resourcing to meet the technical and volume needs of the production environment., • Refine recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs., • Drive a high-performance, safety-focused culture., • Own the full performance management cycle and implement engagement strategies., • Lead the design and roll out of compensation reviews, talent review and succession planning processes., • Design targeted training and development programs to build organisational capability and address skill gaps., • Define, monitor, and analyse key HR metrics to provide actionable insights to senior management. What You'll Bring • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3-5 years as an HR Manager or equivalent., • Proven HR leadership within a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or engineering environment involving high-volume recruitment (demonstrable knowledge or experience of EU employment law and country-specific HR practices is an advantage)., • Expert-level knowledge of UK employment law and best practice, especially in a production setting., • Strong strategic business acumen and the ability to translate needs into effective HR solutions., • Exceptional influencing, negotiation, and senior-level communication skills., • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and data analytics., • CIPD Level 7 is highly desirable. This position is based in our Fareham, UK facility and doesn't support hybrid or remote work at this stage.
