The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Development Representative to join a Top 75 law firm, supporting a highly regarded Corporate Partner in their thriving practice. We're looking for a driven and commercially minded Sales Development Representative to generate new business opportunities and build a robust pipeline for our Corporate Finance practice. This is a dedicated sales role focused on prospecting, qualifying leads, and setting up meetings with potential clients for a Corporate Partner. The ideal candidate will have experience or exposure to corporate finance and a proven track record in outbound sales or business development. Previous experience in sales or demonstrated commercial acumen would be an advantage. Please note, this is not a training or progression route to becoming a lawyer, but rather a role suited to someone who thrives on hitting targets, building relationships, and driving revenue growth in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation & Prospecting: • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and potential clients, • Conducting market and client research to support targeted outreach, • Developing and executing outbound prospecting strategies via phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels, • Tracking and following up on leads, enquiries, and networking opportunities, • Building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clients, • Ability to build strong rapport and relationships with C-suite executives and decision-makers, • Nurturing prospects through the sales pipeline until they're ready for partner engagement, • Supporting partner-led pitches and client meetings, including preparation of proposals and presentation materials, • Scheduling and coordinating discovery calls and meetings between prospects and Corporate Partner, • Assisting in the preparation of marketing collateral, case studies, and client communications, • Monitoring industry trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities, • Providing feedback to Corporate Partner on market conditions, client needs and competitive positioning, • Meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline generation, • Maintaining accurate records of all sales activities and prospect communications, • Providing regular reports on pipeline health, conversion rates and sales metrics Skills and Experience Essential: • Proven experience in a sales development, business development or inside sales role, • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs, • Strong IT skills (specifically Microsoft Excel/Word) and CRM proficiency, • Strong social media skills, particularly LinkedIn for prospecting, • Effective at managing multiple tasks at any one time, • Experience selling professional services (legal, accounting, consulting), • Understanding of corporate finance transactions (M&A, fundraising, restructuring), • Excellent client service orientation, • Self-motivated and proactive with a hunter mentality, • Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed, • Confident, dependable and responsive, • Resilient and comfortable with rejection, • Discretion and trust are paramount, • Friendly and inclusive, • Team player, • Willingness to learn & collaborative mindset What We Offer: • Competitive base salary plus commission, • Opportunity to work with high-calibre legal professionals on complex, high-value transactions, • Clear career progression pathway within business development, • Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development, • Collaborative, award-winning culture Apply now for immediate consideration by submitting your CV to
