Main Purpose of the Role • To support colleagues and business processes with their IT requirements while acting as a deputy to the IT Manager. The role is responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s IT infrastructure is modern, secure, reliable, and efficient. Key Responsibilities IT Infrastructure • Design, deploy, and manage servers and related services from vendors such as Dell and HP., • Design, deploy, and maintain networks and cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Azure)., • Deploy and manage virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V., • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions., • Manage and optimise storage solutions including SAN and NAS systems., • Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and tools., • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments., • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime., • Assist in the development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures., • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the IT infrastructure. IT Operations • Monitor and maintain laptops, peripherals, and display equipment across the business., • Provide technical support and guidance to end users., • Monitor and maintain system performance, availability, and security., • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues., • Collaborate with colleagues to support business applications and services., • Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry best practices., • Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures., • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Role Requirements Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field., • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure or IT Operations roles., • Relevant certifications such as:, • CompTIA Network+, • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, • Strong knowledge of server and network administration., • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)., • Proficiency with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)., • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices
