Sheffield Girls is seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to lead the management and maintenance of our school estate. This is a pivotal role ensuring our site remains a safe, secure and efficient space for students, staff and visitors. About the Role: As the School Facilities Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our site operations, ensuring our facilities are secure, well-maintained and that they remain fully compliant with health and safety standards. You will be responsible for: Overseeing site security, premises and grounds management Maintaining our plant and equipment Cleaning operations and enterprise activities Managing the school vehicle fleet Ensuring Health and Safety compliance across the site Supporting the delivery of capital projects and renovations Contract monitoring Leading a team that includes the Operations Supervisor, Senor Facilities Officers, and Drivers, who in turn manage the day-to-day operations of the estate About you We are looking for an individual with a relevant qualification in Facilities Management (e.g. IWFM Level 4 or equivalent), or someone who is willing to gain this qualification within six months. You will also need recognised Health & Safety training (e.g. NEBOSH or IOSH) and a First Aid Certificate. Additional technical expertisesuch as Legionella Awareness, Asbestos Awareness or Fire Warden training would be advantageous. You will also need proven experience in premises management, ideally within an educational setting, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals/teams, as well as on your own initiative.
