£300k GBP Onsite WORKING Location: Central London, Greater London - United Kingdom Type: Permanent Overview Join a rapidly growing Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) business investing heavily in next-generation technology. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver scalable, high-performance infrastructure supporting trading, risk management, and systematic investment products. As a QIS Platform Developer, you will collaborate closely with Trading, Structuring, Quant, and Technology teams to build and evolve the systems that power the firm's QIS offering. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain trading and risk platforms for front-office and regulatory use., • Partner with traders, quants, and technologists to deliver scalable, efficient solutions., • Enhance platform performance, reliability, and user experience., • Contribute to system architecture and integration across infrastructure and workflows., • Maintain high-quality, well-documented production code., • Drive innovation and continuous improvement through modern technologies and best practices., • Support users across Front Office, Quant, and Technology functions. Leadership & Strategic Impact, • Shape platform strategy and recommend technology-driven improvements., • Lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior developers., • Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable solutions., • Manage risk, strengthen controls, and ensure operational excellence. Skills & Experience, • Strong programming skills, with deep expertise in Python and familiarity with additional languages such as C++ or Rust., • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, software engineering principles, and system architecture., • Proven experience designing, building, and deploying complex production systems with best practices in CI/CD, source control, and automated testing., • Experience in QIS, front-office quantitative environments, or trading technology (market data, analytics, or risk systems)., • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges., • Effective communicator and collaborator, capable of influencing stakeholders across Trading, Quant, and Technology teams., • Track record of innovation, continuous improvement, and delivery within high-performance environments.
