This role is an AI & Automation Director to drive the mobilisation, delivery and sustained acceleration of priority AI initiatives across the Enterprise line of business.This role acts as a key coordination and delivery partner between AI strategy, delivery teams, business stakeholders, and external partners — helping ensure AI initiatives are well defined, prioritised appropriately, governed appropriately, delivered successfully, and ultimately adopted in day-to-day operations.The role blends AI programme support, delivery management, stakeholder engagement, and external insight gathering, with sufficient technical depth to credibly contribute to solution design, partner with engineers and data scientists, and translate business needs into actionable delivery plans. The role is not expected to be the primary hands‑on engineerThe role contributes to strengthening AI capability over time, improving AI literacy across the business, and helping ensure investment converts into measurable enterprise value through clear problem definitions, disciplined delivery, and effective adoption supportWhat you’ll ownAI Engagement & MobilisationPartner with stakeholders across the Enterprise line of business to identify, shape, and mobilise AI and automation opportunities, ensuring alignment to business priorities and balancing ambition, feasibility, risk, and valueIndependently manage a structured pipeline of AI and automation initiatives (with support from relevant leads), owning the initiative delivery from early-stage ideation through to adoptionAct as the driver translating AI strategy and business demand into executable initiatives, by clarifying requirements, defining business cases, delivery plans, and delivering outcomes aligned to strategyPromote effective human‑AI collaboration by helping teams define practical AI partnership patterns that protect the human contribution while unlocking scale, efficiency and innovationSenior Stakeholder Management & InfluenceBuild strong working relationships with leaders and subject-matter experts across the organisation, including commercial, operations, product, technology, risk, and compliance teamsFacilitate structured ideation with business stakeholders, helping surface high-value use cases and mature early ideas into prioritised initiatives within the AI pipelineProvide a consistent point of ownership and coordination for AI initiatives, ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility and engagement throughout the lifecycleSupport prioritisation and trade‑off discussions by preparing options, risks, and recommended next steps; ensure decisions and actions are clearly captured and followed throughEnterprise AI OrchestrationDrive progress across AI initiatives to track progress, manage interdependencies, surface risks, and support effective sequencingPartner with delivery leaders to help initiatives move smoothly from ideation through build, testing, rollout, and adoption (e.g., supporting sprint planning, UAT, and launch readiness)Ensure governance, ethical AI principles, and regulatory considerations are incorporated into delivery artefacts and ways of working; escalate issues and risks when neededExternal Insights & Thought LeadershipBring relevant external AI insights, market trends, and emerging best practices into internal conversations and delivery decisionsSupport engagement with vendors, partners, start‑ups, and industry forums (e.g., coordinating sessions, capturing learnings, and evaluating applicability to Worldpay)Contribute to Worldpay’s internal AI point of view by drafting guidance, sharing examples, and helping teams apply common patternsAdoption, Change & Capability BuildingSupport AI communication and change activities (e.g., updates, demos, playbooks, and stakeholder packs) to drive sustained adoptionHelp improve AI literacy and confidence across senior and operational audiences through targeted enablement sessions and practical examplesContribute to the evolution of internal AI ways‑of‑working, engagement models, and governance frameworks by capturing feedback and iterating templates and processesTeam Management ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a team of AI Analysts, providing direction, coaching, and prioritisation to ensure high-quality analysis, business engagement, and delivery support across multiple AI initiativesAllocate analyst resources across the AI portfolio, balancing demand, capability, and business priorities to maximise delivery effectiveness and value realisationEstablish consistent standards, methodologies, and quality controls for opportunity assessment, requirements gathering, benefits tracking, value measurement, and adoption reportingCreate a high-performing analytical capability by developing team skills in AI, automation, data analysis, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and business case developmentProvide oversight and challenge to analyst outputs, ensuring recommendations are evidence-based, commercially focused, and aligned to strategic business objectivesWhat you’ll bringAI & Automation LeadershipProven experience supporting and delivering AI and automation initiatives in complex and/or regulated environments.Familiarity with the end-to-end AI lifecycle, from use case identification and prototyping through to deployment, scaling, and adoption.Good working knowledge of generative AI, copilots, agent‑based systems, and automation patterns, with the ability to translate concepts into practical use cases and delivery requirements.Strong delivery management skills (e.g., requirements, planning, RAID, and benefits tracking) and the ability to work effectively across technology, product, operations, and risk/compliance stakeholders.Proven experience leading and developing teams of analysts, business analysts, or similar delivery support functions within a transformation, technology, AI, or automation environment.Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, capability development, workload prioritisation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.About the teamOur inclusive and global teams win together every day.
