About the Role We are looking for a Site-Based Data Cabling Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day coordination and delivery of structured cabling projects directly at customer locations. This is a hands-on, presence-led role where you’ll act as the primary on-site lead—managing engineers, ensuring work quality, and keeping projects running safely and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all installation activities meet project specifications, industry standards, deadlines, and health & safety requirements. Key Responsibilities • Manage and coordinate all on-site activities for data cabling projects (Cat5e/6/6a, fibre, containment, cabinets, pathways)., • Provide daily direction to cabling engineers and subcontractors on site., • Carry out on-site surveys, assess risks, and update RAMS accordingly., • Monitor work quality, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements., • Maintain project schedules on site and handle real-time issue resolution., • Ensure strict health & safety compliance, toolbox talks, and site audits., • Liaise directly with the client on site, providing progress updates and managing expectations., • Oversee material deliveries, stock levels, and site logistics., • Proven experience delivering site-based structured cabling projects., • Strong knowledge of cabling standards, installation methods, containment systems, and fibre/Cat6 testing., • Confident leading engineering teams and managing site operations., • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions., • Strong communication and customer-handling skills., • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans., • ECS/CSCS card (or ability to obtain)., • Previous experience as a Site Manager or Cabling Supervisor., • Manufacturer accreditations (e.g., Excel, Commscope, Panduit, Nexans)., • Project management certifications (Prince2, APM, or equivalent)., • Competitive salary and benefits., • Strong pipeline of high-profile site-based infrastructure projects., • Support from experienced project and technical teams., • Opportunities to develop into senior project management roles.
