Supply Chain Manager £ Competitive Basic Salary Fully site based, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Thursday with early finish Friday Benefits 25 days + 8 BH (33) + Pension + Health Care Scheme + EV Scheme, + company ownership scheme + + Due to growth and investment, an opportunity has arisen for a talented Supply Chain Manager to undertake a pivotal role providing strategic and operational leadership as part of the senior leadership team. In this key role you will have responsibility for driving and improving Supply Chain Operations, overseeing a team across Purchasing, Planning, Materials, Stores and logistics and play a critical role in shaping the performance, culture, and long‑term capability of our Supply Chain function. You will have first class people and leadership skills to support the transition to best practise purchasing practise and lay the foundations for continued growth. The successful candidate will bring a strong track record of leading teams through change, embedding continuous improvement, and strengthening end‑to‑end supply chain processes. Expertise in Lean methodologies, Kanban systems, and the disciplined use of MRP/ERP platforms will be essential to driving sustainable operational excellence and supporting the organisation’s growth ambitions. Key Accountabilities • Provide strategic direction and day‑to‑day leadership across all Supply Chain functions, • Develop, mentor, and performance‑manage a team of 15-20, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional growth, • Lead the design and implementation of standardised processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cross‑functional alignment, • Deliver measurable procurement improvements, including cost‑reduction initiatives and strengthened supplier performance, • Drive continuous improvement programmes using Lean tools, visual management, and structured problem‑solving, • Expand and optimise Kanban systems to improve material flow, stability, and operational responsiveness, • Enhance utilisation and discipline of MRP/ERP systems, • Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy, robust material control, and consistent on‑time delivery performance, • Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure cohesive planning and execution Candidate Profile • Minimum five years’ leadership experience within a multi‑discipline supply chain environment, • Demonstrated success in leading teams, developing talent, and driving high‑performance cultures, • Strong command of MRP/ERP systems, • Proven ability to deliver procurement cost improvements and lead supplier negotiations, • Deep experience in Lean methodologies, Kanban deployment, and continuous improvement within supply chain operations, • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions, • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
