Market Stall Assistant – Spicy Rye’s Part-Time / Weekend Role Location: Various markets and events across London & the South East Pay: Competitive day rate + travel expenses About the Role We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and outgoing person to join the Spicy Rye’s team and help us run our market stalls and events on weekends. If you’re passionate about food, love hot sauces and all things chilli, and enjoy meeting new people, this could be the perfect role for you! You’ll represent the brand at food markets, street food festivals, and pop-up events – chatting with customers, offering samples, setting up and packing down the stall, and generally spreading the love for our range of bold, handcrafted condiments. What We’re Looking For: A genuine passion for good food – especially hot sauce and chilli-based products Confident, friendly and great with people Reliable and able to work weekends (most events are Saturday and/or Sunday) Happy to travel to different events (travel costs covered) Able to lift, carry and set up a market stall (some physical work involved) Comfortable talking to customers and promoting products with enthusiasm Bonus if you have previous market, retail or food experience – but not essential What You’ll Do: Set up and break down stalls at events Engage with customers, offer samples, and sell products Learn about our products and share our story with enthusiasm Keep the stall clean, organised, and well-stocked Represent the Spicy Rye’s brand with positive energy and professionalism Perks: Be part of a growing independent brand Work in fun, vibrant environments at food markets and festivals Try all the spicy goodies (and get a staff discount!) To work along with myself looking after 27 donkeys here at Guildford. To help with the events we have throughout the summer. All donkeys are very easy and live together. What the day consists of: Bring donkeys in and out of field Clean equipment Getting equipment ready for events. Loading and unloading of animals and equipment. Organising events. Talking to public Helping out with activities with the animals Leading donkeys To also help with events and experiences during weekends in May - September - Looking for someone Adhoc to help with events throughout summer. Unfortunately we cannot put a time from day to day as it's different. It's just long days. Applicants must be 21 years and over. Able to drive. Have some experience with equines would be a bonus.
