FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established passenger transport business with the recruitment of an experienced Transport Operations Manager. \n Permanent, full-time position based in Runcorn. \n This is a key operational leadership role with responsibility for drivers, fleet availability, service delivery and transport compliance. It would suit an experienced coach or passenger transport professional looking to take ownership of a busy operation and make a genuine impact on performance. \n Salary \n Negotiable Salary + performance bonus + company pension + excellent career development opportunities \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Take overall responsibility for day-to-day coach and passenger transport operations.\n, • Manage driver scheduling, route planning and resource allocation.\n, • Lead, support and develop drivers and operational staff.\n, • Ensure full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, tachograph rules, Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations.\n, • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure fleet availability and roadworthiness.\n, • Monitor vehicle utilisation, fuel usage, costs and operational KPIs.\n, • Coordinate fleet requirements with sales and wider business teams.\n, • Manage incidents, breakdowns and customer service escalations.\n, • Liaise with clients, suppliers, regulatory bodies and internal departments.\n, • Prepare operational reports, forecasts and budgets.\n, • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery and operational performance.\n, • Help drive a professional, high-performing and safety-focused culture.\n\n Skills & Experience \n\n • Minimum 3+ years’ experience within coach, bus or passenger transport operations.\n, • International Transport Manager CPC for Passenger Transport essential.\n, • Strong knowledge of fleet management, driver compliance and transport legislation.\n, • Proven leadership and people-management experience.\n, • Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.\n, • Commercially aware with experience monitoring operational costs and KPIs.\n, • Confident working in a busy environment with changing priorities.\n, • Strong IT skills, including Excel.\n, • Full UK driving licence and PCV licence required.\n\n What’s on Offer \n\n • Performance-related bonus.\n, • Company pension.\n, • Permanent, full-time position.\n, • Senior operational responsibility across a busy transport operation.\n, • Opportunity to shape processes and improve business performance.\n, • Excellent training and career development opportunities.\n, • Supportive and established working environment.\n\n
