The position would suit an experienced individual with an emphasis on gardening (references required), having the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to help maintain a large beautiful private property in South Yorkshire. 8 hours per day, 2 days per week to work alongside the existing gardener. Days to be agreed. Salary based on abilities and experience (direct labour only employment could also be an option). The role: - cultivating grassed areas, flower beds, hedges, shrubs and borders; - carrying out landscaping duties including drainage clearance, pathways and steps; - clearing leaves around the site, both by machine and manually; - carrying out minor repairs around the site; - conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs; - general house and landscape maintenance repairs. Skills: - experience as a gardener; - ability to work well with others - ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools; - ability to lift heavy objects (if required); - ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time - a love of the outdoors and plant life Knowledge of wood-working and basic plumbing would be an advantage but not necessary. Self-motivation and ability to work on your own and as part of a small team is essential. Job location is between Barnsley/Rotherham and Doncaster.
