Job Description: \n\nSECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to BPSS and Export Control checks (including a criminal record check) \n\nTRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional travel within UK/EU \n\nLOCATION: Belfast \n\nTYPE: Full time \n\nWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU\n\n* Plays a key role in the establishment of the Communications “set up” and outputs for the Airbus in Belfast, bringing local needs into alignment with Airbus communications approach in the UK as appropriate. \n\n* Supports the creation of interim and long term internal communications tools and channels to support the onboarding of colleagues \n\n* Works with the wider communications team to define and deliver key messaging and communications materials \n\n* Interacts with wider UK and global communications team - and the public affairs team - to manage consistent messaging to external audiences \n\n\n\n Long term scope \n\n\n* Collates, manages and prioritises requests for communication support in line with the communication plan and business priorities (prioritisation is reviewed with the HO National Comms UK in line with the strategic Comms plan and annual business objectives). \n\n* Consults with the business regarding their communications needs to maintain a clear overall activity plan and define communication plans / topic briefs incorporating, messages and communication objectives up to the execution and analysis of the agreed Comms activities. \n\n* Outputs may include events and engagement activities, LTTs, written articles, the development of supporting photo / video / graphics assets; to be fed into internal and external communications channels, updating RADAR (Comms governance system) as required. \n\n* In the case of larger projects assumes the role of the Project Leader and proactively establishes and manages a multi-functional team to ensure end-to-end process/ management of the topic to the agreed deadlines and expectations. \n\n* Supports good relations with the local community by working closely with site teams and local stakeholders to manage and mitigate potential for local complaints or concerns. Manages direct communications with local neighbours on non-political / regulatory topics and ensures visitor centre facilities are up to date and utilised effectively. \n\n\n\nCOMMS INTERNAL INTERACTIONS\n\n* Communication alignment with the wider UK and global commercial aviation comms team (GM); UK transdivisional external comms team (GX) \n\n\n\nAIRBUS INTERNAL INTERACTIONS\n\n* Site leadership teams in Belfast \n\n* Public Affairs team \n\n* HRBPs Airbus Operations in the UK \n\n* Union representatives \n\n* Local management for key topics as defined by the Head of National Communications for the UK \n\n\n\nEXTERNAL INTERACTIONS\n\n* Industry associations, local influencers, local community representatives \n\n\n\nREQUIRED QUALITIES AND COMPETENCIES FOR THE JOB\n\n This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth. \n\nPersonal qualities and competencies:\n\n* Established experience in communications (internal, external, community relations) \n\n* Experience of M&A comms environment, transformation and change \n\n* Good understanding of the company structure, its products and the Airbus environment in the UK \n\n* Good understanding of Northern Ireland as an operating environment \n\n* Comms plan definition and execution \n\n* Strategic thinking while able to act and implement quickly \n\n* Ability to connect easily to different stakeholders across functions and divisions \n\n* Excellent writing skills and content creation skills \n\n* Event management capability \n\n* Understanding of local UK media and ability to engage effectively with them \n\n* Understanding of community relations and ability to engage effectively with a wide range of neighbours \n\n* Understanding of internal communications channels and ability to effectively engage with colleagues from across the business \n\n\n\n*Not a 100% match?
