Take control of your life and schedule. \n· Be part of a team of experts and become an expert yourself in a niche field. \n \nJOB SPECIFICATION: Electrical Engineer, Electronic Service Engineer : Instrumentation, PLC Control and Automation Systems - Marine Industry \n \nThis is a field based Electronic / Electrical Service Engineer vacancy for a very well established and respected specialist in instrumentation, PLC control and automation systems to the marine industry. \n \nThis role will be split between (80%) scheduled electrical / electronic installation, commissioning and refit projects - typically staying away for 10-14 days at sites across the UK - but with a heavy focus on customers around Falmouth / Devonport. \n \nThe remainder (20%) will be reactionary fault finding and repair (1-2 day trips) on first and third party instrumentation, PLC controls and automation equipment or machinery. \n \nThe majority of work will be in the UK, though you will work on international projects - perhaps 6 weeks per year and including trips to Gibraltar, UAE, Bahrain and USA. \n \nREQUIREMENTS: Electrical Engineer, Electronic Service Engineer : Instrumentation, PLC Control and Automation Systems - Marine Industry \n \nWe require a practical, hands on Engineer with a track record as an electronic or electrical Service / Maintenance Engineer in an industrial setting. A good, practical grasp of electronic engineering is required. Any experience / familiarity with temperature, pressure & level measurement would be an advantage. As would, to a lesser extent, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC Programming and Maintenance experience.
