N.O.V8 Consulting Limited – London | International Expansion About the Role N.O.V8 Consulting Limited is seeking a Graduate Consultant with an engineering, quantity surveying or construction environmental background to join our growing sustainability and planning team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate to specialise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) across all project phases, from feasibility through to delivery and post-completion assessment. Reporting to the Senior Environmental Consultant across major infrastructure projects and large-scale residential developments. You will conduct whole-life carbon assessments, embodied carbon calculations, and sustainability analyses that inform planning submissions and client decision-making, while developing specialist expertise in carbon accounting, circular economy principles, and sustainable construction methods. This role supports N.O.V8's 2030 expansion strategy and our commitment to embedding net zero principles across all project phases as part of our integrated pre-construction planning consultancy services. Key Responsibilities • Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for construction projects across feasibility, planning, design, and delivery phases (incl. A1-5, C1-4 and D), • Calculate embodied carbon and whole-life carbon for materials, components, and building systems using industry-standard tools (One Click LCA, EC3, IES, or similar), • Support Environmental Impact Assessments and planning submissions with robust carbon data and analysis, • Collaborate with design teams to identify carbon reduction opportunities and material optimisation strategies, • Contribute to circular economy assessments, including material reuse, recyclability, and end-of-life planning, • Assist in the development of carbon tracking methodologies aligned with RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment standards, • Prepare technical reports, carbon statements, and data visualisations for clients and planning authorities, • Stay current with evolving LCA methodologies, carbon accounting standards (PAS 2080, BS EN 15978), and planning policy requirements, • Support business development through technical input to bids and proposals, • Participate in internal training and professional development programmes About You Essential • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, quantity surveying or environmental related discipline (2024/2025 graduate or recent graduate), • Strong understanding of construction materials, building systems, and structural principles, • Interest in construction delivery methodologies and innovation, • Knowledge of sustainability principles, carbon accounting, or Life Cycle Assessment (academic or placement experience), • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and data analysis, • Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Eagerness to learn and develop specialist expertise in advisory and consulting, • Collaborative team player with proactive, solution-oriented approach Desirable • 1-year minimum construction site experience, • Familiarity with LCA software tools (One Click LCA, SimaPro, GaBi, EC3, or IES), • Understanding of UK planning policy and environmental regulations, • Experience with BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD) or construction programming tools, • Knowledge of RICS standards, PAS 2080, or carbon reduction frameworks, • Student/Graduate membership of ICE, IStructE, RICS, CIOB or CIBSE, • Strong Problem solving abilities What We Offer • Structured graduate development programme with mentoring from experienced consultants, • Opportunity to specialise in the rapidly growing field of whole-life carbon assessment, • Direct exposure to major UK infrastructure and large-scale residential projects, • Be part of N.O.V8's 2030 expansion strategy across EMEA markets, • Flexible hybrid working arrangements with London base, • Competitive graduate salary and comprehensive benefits package, • Chartership support and continuous professional development opportunities, • Collaborative, values-led culture built on excellence, clarity, integrity, innovation, and sustainability About N.O.V8 Consulting Limited We are specialist construction planning consultants with proven bid success on major infrastructure and residential developments for our clients.
