12 month fixed term contract***\nResponsibilities\nSafeguard the financial processes associated with people being supported by Voyage Care.\nPlan and complete financial assurance visits at services / homes.\nIdentify inadequate, inefficient, or ineffective internal controls and recommend and implement improvements with respect to People we Support’s monies, petty cash, purchasing/prepaid cards and other local finance practices.\nIdentify, recommend and implement improvements.\nUndertake and report financial investigations into irregularities and concerns identified or suspected at homes and services\nPersonal Finance Audit Manager (Care Services) Duties:\n\nPlan and undertake financial assurance work by:\n\nidentifying risky areas\nresponding to requests from Operations and / Quality teams\nundertaking random visits to homes and services \n\nAssess compliance with Voyage home / service financial policies and procedures by executing reviews and testing petty cash controls , People we Support finance controls, account balances; examining and analysing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation. \n\nAssess risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance; evaluating financial processes; identifying local and organisational process weaknesses and inefficiencies and operational issues. \n\nFinalise assurance work with documentation detailing assurance tests and findings. \n\nCommunicate assurance findings to home and service managers highlighting good practice, concerns and issues. \n\nImprove processes by recommending and implementing changes to internal financial and operating controls. \n\nCommunicating relevant or pertinent findings and issues to Operations and Service Managers and Directors. \n\nReport in a timely manner any financial issues which may require referring to safeguarding or adult protection boards. \n\nProvide financial process support and advice to home and service managers where required and assist new managers during induction. \n\nWork collaboratively to ensure systematic approach to monitoring financial processes within homes /services. \n\nUndertake investigations as requested when concerns are raised about financial practices, processes and outcomes at homes and services. \n\nPrepare reports detailing the findings of internal financial investigations for use internally and also by external agencies including safeguarding teams. \n\nProtect the organisation's reputation by keeping information confidential. \n\nUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations. \n\nContributes to home and service performance and safety by introducing improved work practices in relation to management of finances and helping staff maintain company requirements in relation to the management of finance in local settings.Personal Finance Audit Manager (Care Services) Attributes / Skills / Qualifications:\n\nSelf-motivation, determination and confidence in your abilities\nAbility to divide your time between office and fieldwork\nMeticulous attention to detail\nNumerate\nExcellent problem-solving skills\nA keen interest in the financial systems\nAbility to work to deadlines\nAbility to work on your own initiative and as part of a team\nStrong IT skills\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good presentation and report writing skills\nAn awareness of people with Learning Disabilities’ and Acquired Brain Injuries and an ability to communicate with the People we Support
