Location: South Woodford, E18 London Hours: 45 hours per week Salary: £32,00–£35,000 per annum Additional Benefits: Profit share (T&Cs apply) + weekly shared service charge K Mai Consulting are seeking a confident, experienced Restaurant & Bar General Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day running of our South Woodford venue. This is a hands-on, operational leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and setting the standard for service and performance. You will be responsible for driving standards, motivating the team, and ensuring the venue operates smoothly and profitably. This is not an office-based position, you’ll be actively involved in service, supporting the bar, floor, and kitchen when required, while also managing people, stock, and finances. The role offers real progression, the opportunity to influence how the business grows. Key Responsibilities • Full day-to-day operational management of the bar and restaurant, • Leading shifts, opening and closing the venue, • Creating staff rotas and managing performance, training, and discipline, • Cash handling, daily financial controls, and reporting, • Stock ordering, stock control, and wastage management, • Delivering a consistently excellent customer experience, • Leading, motivating, and developing the team on shift, • Preparing drinks and cocktails to a high standard, • Serving customers and taking orders during busy service periods, • Supporting the kitchen with basic duties when required during peak times, • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, compliance, and presentation, • Bringing forward new ideas to increase sales, improve efficiency, and enhance the guest experience About You • Proven experience as a Restaurant and Bar Manager, or General Manager, • Strong all-round knowledge of bar and restaurant operations, • Be able to make common cocktails, • Confident, proactive, and genuinely hands-on, • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and leading from the front, • Strong people management and communication skills, • Commercially aware, with an interest in driving sales and profitability, • Passionate about hospitality, service quality, and team development, • Be within 30 mins travel from the restaurant.
