This is the backbone role of the operation: the main purpose is to maintain cleanliness across both front of house and back of house, keep our kitchen equipment and extraction in top condition, and support the team with cold prep so service never misses a beat. The ideal candidate takes pride in a clean, organised, well-run kitchen, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a positive, can-do attitude. Prior experience in a busy kitchen or hospitality environment is required. You'll report directly to the Kitchen Lead and Ops Manager. Key Responsibilities: • *Maintain cleanliness across the whole shop (FoH & BoH):* Keep both front and back of house areas clean, tidy and presentable throughout the day, ensuring the site always meets Crunch's standards., • Clean kitchen equipment and extraction: Thoroughly clean, degrease and sanitise all kitchen equipment, surfaces and the extraction system on a regular schedule to maintain hygiene and safety., • Support with cold prep: Assist the kitchen team with cold prep tasks as needed to keep service running smoothly during busy periods., • Keep equipment in good working order: Carry out basic maintenance and upkeep, spot faults early, and report any equipment issues to the Kitchen Lead promptly., • Follow all pest prevention measures: Adhere strictly to pest control and prevention protocols, keeping all areas sealed, clean and compliant, and reporting any concerns immediately., • Follow opening and closing guidelines: Make sure all cleaning and prep tasks are completed and the kitchen is clean, organised and ready at the start and end of each shift., • Support stock rotation (FIFO): Help implement First In, First Out to keep ingredients fresh, reduce waste and maintain proper stock levels., • Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards: Follow food safety guidelines (HACCP) and all health and safety regulations at all times., • Contribute to a positive, fast-paced working environment: Support your teammates, keep a calm and productive atmosphere under pressure, and be a team player., • Assist with inventory: Help monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock to management.
