\n We are currently looking for an experienced Geotechnical Director to join and expand our team at Millward. \n Millward is enjoying an exceptional year, and as a result of strong, sustainable growth, we are continuing to invest in our team. Our pipeline is packed with exciting projects across a diverse range of sectors, including MOD, industrial, commercial and public sector developments. \n This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geotechnical professional to take a senior leadership role, help shape and grow our geotechnical offering, and work alongside our wider engineering team on a varied portfolio of technically challenging projects. Skills & Qualifications\n \n • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.\n, • Chartered Engineer (CEng, P.E., P.Eng. or equivalent) desirable.\n, • 10–15+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, including senior or leadership roles.\n, • Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure and/or complex geotechnical projects.\n, • Strong understanding of soil and rock mechanics, ground investigation techniques, numerical modelling and relevant design standards.\n, • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.\n, • Ability to provide high-level technical oversight and make sound, informed engineering decisions.\n Key Responsibilities\n \n, • Provide technical leadership across geotechnical engineering services, including site investigation, ground modelling, foundation design, slope stability, retaining structures and geohazard assessments.\n, • Lead, mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team of geotechnical engineers and technicians.\n, • Oversee geotechnical input across major infrastructure, commercial, industrial and environmental projects.\n, • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow Millward’s geotechnical service offering.\n, • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, quality systems and health and safety requirements.\n, • Review and approve technical reports, design deliverables and risk assessments.\n, • Manage project budgets, programmes and resources to support successful project delivery.\n, • Support business development through client engagement, proposal writing and participation in relevant industry events.\n \n #J-18808-Ljbffr
