    Dry Cleaner Manager / Operator — Wallingford We are in the process of purchasing a dry cleaning business in Wallingford, Oxfordshire and are seeking a hands-on Manager/Operator to run the business day-to-day. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of daily operations, manage all aspects of the dry cleaning process, and play a key role in the long-term success of the business. Position Overview: As the sole full-time operator, you will be responsible for managing every part of the business, including customer service, dry cleaning, laundry, washing, pressing, daily sales, and coordinating with our outsourced tailoring partner. This is a very hands-on role requiring both technical skill and strong customer service ability. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and oversee all dry cleaning, laundry, washing, and pressing services - Manage the front counter: assist customers, process orders, handle payments, and answer inquiries - Maintain quality control to ensure customer satisfaction - Manage daily sales, cash handling, and basic bookkeeping - Coordinate with outsourced tailoring services and ensure timely completion of tailoring orders - Maintain inventory of supplies and order as needed - Oversee equipment operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the facility - Build strong relationships with customers to foster repeat business and referrals - Work closely with ownership on business growth, customer service, and operational improvements Qualifications: - Previous experience in dry cleaning - Strong work ethic and ability to work independently - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Ability to operate dry cleaning, laundry, and pressing equipment - Basic financial and organizational skills to manage daily operations - Experience coordinating or managing outsourced services is a plus
