A great opportunity to join a high performing secondary school in Preston as their Exams & Data Officer, supporting the smooth running of all internal and external examinations and ensuring high-quality data management across the school. Your new roleYou will take the lead on the organisation, administration and delivery of all school examinations, ensuring full compliance with awarding body regulations. Alongside this, you will manage and analyse key student data within SIMS, supporting teaching, learning and whole-school improvement.This is a full-time temporary role for 4-6 months, ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and experience working with school data systems.Examinations Administration • Ensure full compliance with exam board and JCQ regulations., • Liaise with awarding bodies and manage all exam entries, amendments and submissions., • Oversee the secure storage, distribution and collection of exam papers., • Produce seating plans, book exam rooms and manage exam clashes., • Coordinate, recruit, train and deploy a team of invigilators., • Work with the SENCO to implement access arrangements and special considerations., • Issue exam timetables and candidate information to students., • Download, process and distribute exam results; support GCSE and A-Level results days., • Manage post-results services including reviews of marking and script requests., • Organise mock exams, internal assessments and Cognitive Ability Tests., • Maintain and update all core student data in SIMS., • Assign students to classes, manage timetables and produce academic lists., • Generate and upload student reports; coordinate proofreading., • Complete the School Census each term., • Upload data to SISRA and collate KS2 information from primary schools., • Provide data for awards, assemblies and SLT reports., • Analyse assessment, attendance and behaviour data to identify trends., • Support statutory returns to the DfE and other bodies., • Oversee daily organisation and quality assurance of invigilators., • Ensure safeguarding compliance within all exam processes., • Experience working in an educational setting, ideally in exam administration., • Strong knowledge of JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements., • Proficiency with SIMS (or similar MIS such as Arbor or Bromcom)., • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure., • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with staff, students and external agencies.
