    JOB TITLE: Community care assistant (plus mileage) ACCOUNTABLE TO: Registered Manager RESPONSIBILITIES: To Deliver personal Care and Maintain a High Standard of Care in the community Purpose of the role · To undertake all domiciliary services with the sensitivity required to preserve the dignity, privacy, choice, independence, fulfilment and rights of the client and his/her friends and family. · To work without direct supervision in the client’s home, whilst adhering to their individual care and support plan. · Support the clients to remain at home with as much independence as possible. Main duties and responsibilities · To always deliver a high level of care · Provide person centred care to our clients. . To undertake personal Care tasks as outlined in the Client’s Care Plan. · Ensure that the needs of the clients are met, including social, emotional and physical needs. · Keep accurate records in respect of care given, tasks undertaken. · To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with clients and colleagues. · Liaise with agencies and other health professionals when and where necessary. · Adhere to and be aware of all Farmhouse Care policies and procedures. Duties to include • Working within clients homes, accepting different environments and clients varying capabilities., • Developing and maintaining good communication with both client and family members., • Ensuring a living environment which is a safe as possible for clients, whilst respecting their choices and rights., • Informing the Registered Manager of any changes in the clients physical / mental condition and /or circumstances., • To participate in the Induction of staff, • Familiarisation with clients personal care plans, • Domestic care which may include shopping – escorted or alone, • Undertaking housekeeping household cleaning and laundry duties as requested if outlined in the care plan, • Ensuring the client is not put at risk as a result of home care activities, • To attend staff meetings, supervision and training to met CQC requirements, • Personal care which may include assistance with washing, bathing and toileting, • Personal Care which may include moving and handling, • Personal Care which may include help with purchasing of provisions to provide a nutritionally balanced diet, • To wear uniform always provided with plain black trousers and flat sensible shoes, • To be aware of the clients’ confidentiality at all times, • Companionship Care which may include sits, escorting to appointments and help with reading, • Responsibilities for the safe handling of property, equipment and monies belonging to the client, • Willingness to travel between clients home, • Working as part of a team, but also able to work independently, • To wear an identification badge at all times, • To promote and ensure the good reputation of the company at all times, • To ensure all records are completed daily and that they are legible, • To make safe any hazard immediately after identification and then report to the Registered Manager, • You will be friendly, kind, honest, reassuring and an effective communicator, equally comfortable to act on instructions or work on your own initiative and you'll enjoy being part of a close-knit team., • Ideally, some experience in a care environment, although this is not as essential as your genuine desire to develop a career in this field, • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, • A respectful, courteous and compassionate nature and a willingness to undertake any aspects of care or non-care duties, • A belief in giving your personal best at all times and striving for continuous improvement, • Excellent communication skills, • Ability to identify with and relate to people from all backgrounds, ethnicities and religions, • Strong sense of responsibility, • Ability to work under pressure, • Capable of prioritising, • Motivated, committed and focussed, • Ability to work well as part of a dedicated team and independently, • Friendly and enthusiastic character who can build rapport with our clients, • Caring and positive attitude

You’ll create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where our youngest children can develop and thrive. As Baby Room Supervisor, you’ll plan engaging, age-appropriate activities, support your team’s practice, and build strong relationships with families to ensure every child feels safe, secure, and valued. We’re looking for someone with a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare and at least two years’ experience working with babies or young toddlers. Job Description To lead and manage the baby room (for children aged approximately 9 months to 18 months), ensuring the highest quality of care, learning, and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Main Duties and Responsibilities • Supervise and support the baby room team, ensuring effective communication and teamwork., • Lead planning, observation, and assessment in accordance with EYFS requirements., • Maintain high standards of care, learning, and hygiene within the baby room., • Support staff development and ensure staff ratios meet statutory requirements., • Plan and deliver age-appropriate, sensory-rich activities for 9–18-month-olds., • Build positive partnerships with parents and carers., • Ensure the room and equipment are safe, clean, and well-maintained., • Follow safeguarding and health and safety policies., • Maintain accurate daily records and contribute to continuous improvement planning. Person Specification Essential: • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education/Childcare (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent), • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children aged 9–18 months, • Strong understanding of the EYFS and early child development, • Excellent communication and leadership skills, • Enhanced DBS and suitable references Desirable: • Level 4/5 or Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies, • Previous supervisory experience, • Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Level 3 certification Stepping Stones of Sopley is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
