As a Financial Crime Analytics Consultant, you’ll play a key role in protecting Nationwide and its members by helping to prevent and detect fraud and scams across our portfolio. Joining a high-performing Fraud Analytics team, you’ll work with colleagues and stakeholders from across the business to enhance our fraud detection capabilities, optimise prevention systems, develop new detection rules, and continuously monitor and improve existing controls. We're looking for someone with experience using SQL, SAS or similar coding languages within a financial services environment, alongside a background in Economic Crime, Fraud, or Anti-Money Laundering. You’ll bring strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel knowledge, a deep understanding of fraud and scam typologies, and insight into payment processes. Just as importantly, you’ll be a collaborative and curious individual who enjoys working with others, embraces new challenges, and is motivated to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact within our Economic Crime function and the wider business. If you are based at an office location, you'll be expected to meet our hybrid working requirement of at least two days a week, or 40% of your working time if part-time, in the office. If you’re based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.
