The Buildings and Facilities Lead is responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient operation, maintenance and improvement of company buildings and facilities across all Company sites. As our Founding Engineer, youll build the hardware that brings our chemistry to life, from the tools that speed up our lab work to the systems we deploy at geothermal power plants around the world. Youll own the hardware stack from day one, including mechanical design, fluid handling, instrumentation, electronics, controls and data acquisition, working directly with the founder CEO and the chemistry team to: Turn our established experimental workflow into an automated lab platform, from dosing and mixing to sensing and data capture, so we can optimise our chemistry faster Build a continuous-flow lab skid to test and compare process designs under representative temperature, pressure, flow and brine conditions Define our core product, choosing the architecture, components and fabrication partners for our silica removal retrofit module Lead the commissioning and operation of our first pilots at geothermal power plants, proving our technology on live brine A hands‑on engineer whos happiest moving between CAD, the workshop and the lab, and who wants to own hardware all the way from first sketch to a working power plant. Ideally, you have: • A degree in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical or a closely related engineering field (a multidisciplinary mechanical/electrical/software background is ideal), • 5+ years taking multidisciplinary physical systems from concept through design, build, commissioning and debugging, ideally in a fast-paced start‑up, with experience iterating through multiple prototype generations, • Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or similar), with FEA/CFD to validate designs, and comfort with rapid prototyping (SLA, FDM, SLS) and workshop fabrication : Hand tool, CNC., • Experience integrating sensors, actuators and embedded controllers (Raspberry Pi, ESP32, PLC or similar), and designing supporting electronics (e.g. KiCad). We are looking for a Senior Software Serviceability Engineer to own the software and AI dimension of serviceability for our humanoid robots. Product Services Engineering makes sure the robot is designed to be maintained — and that when it needs service, it can be diagnosed and repaired quickly, safely, and at low skill in the field. You will own that mission for everything software: diagnostics, firmware and bootloader serviceability, and the diagnostic content behind our remote-diagnostics (Digital Shadow) platform. This is a deeply technical, hands‑on role. You will validate the software and AI dimension of every service procedure before it reaches production, build the diagnostic tooling that lets our Remote Services and Repair Centre teams find faults fast, and act as part of the single engineering interface between Services and R&D. Own Design-for-Serviceability for software: ensure the robot’s software, firmware, and AI stack can be diagnosed, updated, and recovered in the field with minimal skill. Collaborate with R&D to build and validate diagnostic scripts, tooling, and self‑test routines that localise faults as deep as possible in the BOM. Define and own the software diagnostic content in the Digital Shadow platform: remote diagnostics, fleet‑pattern detection, and AR‑guided execution. Validate the software and AI dimension of service, repair calibration and OTA procedures before production release. Own firmware, bootloader, and calibration serviceability, including recovery paths for failed updates. Support New Services Introduction (NSI) for software, and act as the single point of entry from Services into R&D for software escalations. Strong software engineering for robotics or embedded systems: ROS2, Bash, and Ubuntu/Linux, with bootloader/firmware workflows. Proficiency in Python (and ideally C++) for diagnostics, tooling, and automation. Hands‑on experience diagnosing robots or complex electromechanical systems — you can tell whether a fault is software, firmware, calibration, or hardware. Working understanding of sensor and actuator stacks (2D/3D LiDAR, RGB cameras, motors/actuators) from a software and diagnostic perspective. A design‑for‑serviceability mindset — you think about the technician in the field, not just the happy path. Disciplined engineering practice and version control (Git). Experience deploying AI/ML on robots and diagnosing model or behaviour issues in the field. Familiarity with remote‑diagnostics or fleet‑telemetry platforms. Experience authoring service documentation or work instructions consumed by non‑engineers. Exposure to Design‑for‑Serviceability / DfMA on a hardware product line.
