About Us Nurture Bridge is a forward-thinking and compassionate residential childcare provider based in Berkshire. We support children and young people aged 717 with emotional and behavioural needs, offering safe, structured, and therapeutic homes where they can thrive. Our practice is rooted in empathy, consistency, and a belief in every childs potential. We are now building a dedicated team at Woodview House, our newly established home in Wexham. About You Ideally, you will have at least 6 months experience working in a childrens residential home. We also welcome strong candidates without direct residential experience who can demonstrate genuine passion, commitment, and the right values. Many of the children we support have experienced trauma, loss, or instability. Your role will be to provide a consistent, safe, and emotionally attuned environment where they can begin to trust, heal, and grow. With full training provided, youll deepen your understanding of trauma-informed practice and learn how to support young people to develop healthy coping strategies. Please note: You must be aged 21 or over (per childrens home regulations) A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential Key Responsibilities Support children and young people with daily routines, education, and emotional wellbeing Follow individual care plans and maintain consistent, therapeutic boundaries Create and maintain a safe, nurturing environment in line with safeguarding policies Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviour Work collaboratively with colleagues, external professionals, and families Act as a positive role model, promoting independence, resilience, and healthy relationships Participate in shift work, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins What Were Looking For At least 6 months experience in a childrens residential care setting (preferred) A flexible, team-oriented approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure A strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (preferred) or willingness to work towards it Why Join Nurture Bridge?
