Health & Safety Advisor Havant, Hampshire Full-time | Permanent Salary £45,000 per annum Talented People are proud to be partnering with a leading civil engineering and infrastructure business to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering complex projects, including work on or near water, where safety, compliance, and continuous improvement are central to success. This role will provide H&S support to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and to facilitate the improved performance of both the operational and support functions by applying Health and Safety Management principles. Key Responsibilities • Work within the company’s Integrated Management System, ensuring compliance with all procedures, policies, and instructions, • Support the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System, • Drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance across the business, • Monitor and interpret changes in legislation, ensuring compliance at all times, • Conduct site inspections and audits, • Record and track non-conformances, supporting timely resolution, • Assist with incident investigations, including root cause analysis, • Support implementation of new technologies, techniques, and procedures to enhance safety performance, • Monitor and report on improvement actions and their completion Skills & Knowledge • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of QHSE legislation and best practice, • Solid understanding of core health, safety, and quality principles, • Experience producing clear, accurate reports, • Knowledge of construction environments, particularly work on or near water (inland and tidal) Experience • Experience with management systems including:, • ISO9001 (Quality), • ISO14001 (Environmental), • ISO45001 (Health & Safety), • Proven experience conducting site inspections and audits, • Experience working within construction or civil engineering environments Qualifications • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) – essential, • NEBOSH Environmental Management – desirable, • SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme) – desirable, • Working towards Chartered status – desirable, • Full UK driving licence, • CSCS card Apply Now If you’re a proactive Health & Safety professional looking to make a real impact within a respected and growing organisation, we’d love to hear from you
