    Production Operative Location: Haydock, St Helens Pay: £12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.08 per hour after 4 weeks Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts Shifts: 6:00am–2:00pm and 11:00am–7:00pm Job Type: Full-time, ongoing We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business based in Haydock. This is a hands-on role working with specialist glass products. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for candidates with previous production, manufacturing, warehouse or other practical experience. About the Role As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks within the production process, ensuring products meet the required quality standards. Your responsibilities will include: Carefully inspecting glass for bubbles, imperfections and defects Removing bubbles and carrying out finishing work where required Working with epoxy resin as part of the production process Pressing and positioning glass into specialist machinery Operating production equipment safely and correctly Following production processes and quality control procedures Handling glass carefully and safely throughout the production process Meeting production and quality targets Maintaining a clean and organised working area Following all company health and safety procedures

    We are seeking a reliable, organised, and customer-focused Customer Service Supervisor to join our team at Shell Skelmersdale. This is a permanent supervisory role within a busy 24/7 Shell retail environment, offering a varied and fast-paced working atmosphere. The role involves supporting the day-to-day running of the site, maintaining high operational standards, assisting with staff supervision, stock control, cash handling, and ensuring excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered. This role would suit somebody with previous retail or forecourt supervisory experience who enjoys leading by example, maintaining high standards, and supporting a busy team environment. The supervisory role is based around approximately 40 hours per week. However, there may also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts where available, for candidates looking for extra hours and flexibility. Whilst this role does not normally involve night shifts, some flexibility around weekends and occasional shift cover may be required depending on business needs. Duties: -Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the site -Assist with staff supervision and delegation of daily tasks -Support with staff rotas and shift planning -Carry out cashing up procedures, banking preparation, and cash handling responsibilities -Assist with stock ordering, stock control, deliveries, and merchandising -Monitor stock rotation, date checking, and waste control -Support audit preparation and ensure compliance standards are maintained -Maintain high food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards across the site -Ensure the shop floor, forecourt, and customer areas remain safe, tidy, and presentable -Support with training and coaching team members where required -Deliver excellent customer service and lead by example on shift -Operate tills and payment systems accurately when required -Report maintenance, safety, staffing, or operational concerns promptly -Follow all company procedures relating to health & safety, food safety, and customer service -Work collaboratively with the wider management and site team to support smooth operations Qualifications: Previous retail, forecourt, or supervisory experience preferred Strong organisational and communication skills Confident leading and supporting a team in a fast-paced environment Reliable, professional, and able to take initiative Good attention to detail and ability to maintain operational standards Comfortable handling cashing up, banking, and stock responsibilities Friendly and customer-focused approach Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team Flexibility to support weekend working where required This is a great opportunity for somebody looking for a long-term supervisory role within a supportive and growing business environment, with opportunities for further development and additional hours.
