I’m looking for a chef to lead a small restaurant that I’m opening in the next month .. I prefer they specialize in (Soul Food) and Caribbean food .. Also Breakfast foods pancakes waffles etc .. need to know how to work commercial stove grill etc/ needs to be organized and experienced in prepping food and may need to work 7 days a week but just for the beginning , I plan on having two chefs ..pay starts between 17-20 hourly depending on your skills , experience and depending on if you went to school.. must be reliable trustworthy and able to listen to directions or criticism without being in your feelings .. and just not how to Cook !! I mean really Cook !!! My focus is providing good food n a clean healthy environment and working with good people who I can depend on .. I hate drama and don’t need any extra headaches , I’m quick to part ways once there’s drama .. must be clean , and must be aware of how you prepare food … I hate going into restaurants and seeing people preparing food in a dirty environment , touching things you shouldn’t be touching while dealing with food or not having on gloves .. people watch that and so do I ..I don’t want to waste anyone’s time so if you aren’t what I’m looking for i rather us not waste each others time .. there’s a lot of people applying but none saying they can cook the type of food we’re specializing in ..

About the Role: We’re looking for a reliable and passionate Line Chef to join our cloud kitchen team. The Sous Chef is a key member of the kitchen leadership team, assisting the Executive Chef in all aspects of daily kitchen operations. This includes supervising staff, ensuring food quality and consistency, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and contributing to menu development. The ideal candidate has strong culinary skills, leadership experience, and a passion for excellence. Responsibilities • Support the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, including prep, cooking, and plating., • Supervise line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers to ensure efficient and consistent service., • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control., • Assist in creating new dishes, specials, and seasonal menu items., • Manage inventory, control food costs, and assist in ordering supplies., • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations (OSHA, DOH)., • Train and mentor kitchen staff to promote skill development and teamwork., • Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef., • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service during busy hours., • Minimum 3–5 years of culinary experience, including supervisory roles., • Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred (not required)., • Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards., • Strong organizational and time-management skills., • Leadership ability and effective communication with diverse teams., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail., • Competitive hourly or salaried pay (based on experience)., • Opportunities for growth and promotion within the company., • Staff meals and dining discounts.

This is for a film shoot, $250 a night! We’ll need the chef for two overnight shooting days: Sunday, October 20th from 5:00 PM to approximately 4:00 AM October 21st Monday, October 21st from 5:00 PM to approximately 4:00 AM on October 22nd They’ll be preparing and plating the same meal for continuity purposes across both days. The chef’s responsibilities will include preparing multiple identical servings of the same meal as needed for different takes, refreshing or re-plating the dish between shots, and ensuring the dish stays camera-ready throughout filming.
