New laundromat on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is seeking a Laundry Assistant who has great customer service skills and loves working with people.
- The job involves taking phone calls (or texts) from customers who are requesting a pickup or delivery of their laundry.
- Also involves helping people who come into the laundromat to do their own laundry. You would assist the customer with explaining how to use the washers and dryers as well as providing them with supplies. You would also take payment from customers doing their laundry or picking up their wash and fold laundry.
- You would also do intake of bags of laundry for the purpose of wash and fold.
- Requires a small amount of computer work.
- Requires monitoring all washers and dryers for any problems.
- Requires small amount of cleaning (wiping down washers and dryers, sweeping floor, keeping laundromat looking and feeling fresh and clean for the customers)
- Hours are 7am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.
- Salary negotiable.
- Strong English language skills are necessary.
