Job Description Job Title: Welder / Fabricator Location: On-Site in Jacksonville, Florida 32217 Shift: Mon-Friday 7am-4:30pm Pay: $20-25/hour Job Description This role involves performing high-quality TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum plate and sheet while reading blueprints, setting up welding equipment, and fabricating precise assemblies in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Perform GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum plate and sheet to produce high-quality welds., • Read and interpret shop prints and blueprints accurately to understand project requirements and specifications., • Set up, adjust, and operate welding machines and related fabrication equipment safely and efficiently., • Perform layout, fit-up, and fabrication of parts and assemblies according to drawings and tolerances., • Use precision measuring tools, including dial calipers, to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy., • Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure all work meets specified requirements and quality standards., • 5+ years of recent and relevant TIG (GTAW) welding experience., • 5+ years of welder/fabricator experience working with metal components., • Proficiency in TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials., • Proficiency in MIG (GMAW) welding on steel and aluminum components., • Ability to read and interpret shop prints and blueprints accurately., • Experience with layout, fit-up, and fabrication of parts and assemblies., • Ability to use precision measuring tools, including dial calipers, to verify dimensions., • Experience working with aluminum and steel components in a production or fabrication environment., • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, welding, or fabrication shop setting., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Work Environment You will work in a manufacturing, welding, and fabrication shop that is non-climate controlled, which may involve varying temperatures throughout the year. The environment includes welding machines, fabrication equipment, and precision measuring tools such as dial calipers. You can expect a hands-on, shop-floor setting where safety practices and appropriate work attire suitable for a weld and fabrication shop are essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
