American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Northridge, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Occupational Therapist, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: 04/21/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 21, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Inpatient acute care setting at a Level II Trauma Center, • PT, OT, and Speech Therapy unit with rehab aide and OTA support, • Patient population includes orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological, trauma, and cardiac cases — no NICU, pediatrics, PICU, ER, or ICU patients, • Caseload varies by area: up to 9 patients/day in outpatient, up to 13 patients/day in inpatient, and variable in rehab, • May cover both inpatient and outpatient areas depending on facility need, with floating to other areas as required, • 8-hour day shifts with a rotating schedule that may include weekends (e.g., Wed–Sun or Thur–Mon); shift start time varies, • Every other weekend (EOW) requirement; first to float policy applies, • Holiday coverage is not required, • Charting via Cerner PowerChart; training provided during orientation if neededRequirements, • Minimum 2 years of OT experience required; candidates with inpatient clinical experience may be considered, • Active OT license for the state of practice required at time of consideration — license required if applicable, • NBCOT certification required, • Current BLS certification required, • Trauma experience preferred, • Travel experience preferred, • Driver's license required for consideration, • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehireAdditional Information, • Provide occupational therapy services across assigned areas, which may include inpatient acute care, outpatient, or rehab settings, • Rehab aides and OTAs are available on the unit to assist with patient care, • Orientation is approximately 1.5 days and is conducted at the department level, not hospital-wide; Cerner training is included if needed, • Maroon polo shirt and dark-colored pants with closed-toe shoes are required; a lab coat is optional With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
