Role Snapshot As a High-Speed Can Line Mechanic & Operator, you will keep a fast-moving metal food packaging line running at peak performance. Reporting to an Operations Team Lead and/or Department Manager, you’ll run, adjust, repair, and improve high-speed equipment while upholding our core values of Passion, Teamwork, and Excellence. A Day in the Life • Begin with department safety checks; address hazards proactively., • Set up the line, complete changeovers, and independently troubleshoot equipment., • Execute daily machine care, preventive/predictive tasks, and breakdown repairs., • Perform all quality checks and documentation to meet customer expectations., • Support Advanced Operator Technicians with installations, replacements, and mechanical improvements., • Drive Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence activities., • Handle inventory tasks; move materials via general forklift operation., • Process hold material promptly, including sorting and inspection., • Receive, store, and maintain inventory of chemicals used in metal food packaging., • Maintain housekeeping and 5S in assigned areas., • Apply Food Safety Policy, GMP's, HACCP Principle, and Food Safety Standard., • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications, • Strong written and verbal communication in English., • Computer proficiency sufficient to execute inventory-based transactions., • Demonstrated alignment with Passion, Teamwork, and Excellence; adherence to the Code of Conduct., • Experience with lean manufacturing; skilled in machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance., • High School Diploma or GED., • 2+ years in a manufacturing environment (required)., • Forklift and material handling experience (preferred)., • Average hours per week: 40 or 36/48 alternating, • Usual shift worked is: 8 or 12 hours The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling (including in confined spaces) is required. Computer and electronic screen work is part of the role. Specific vision needs include close and distance vision plus color recognition; strong hand–eye coordination is necessary. Work occurs on, in, and around conveyors and high-speed mechanical equipment in manufacturing and warehouse areas.
