This role requires a highly skilled technologist proficient in a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, with an absolute requirement for PET experience and NMTCB certification. Position Details • Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist, • Contract Length: 13 Weeks, • Shift: Day Shift (5x8-Hour), • Hours: 07:00 - 15:30, Monday - Friday, • Expected Start Date: Variable (based on facility scheduling, must be fully available for a Wed, Thu, or Fri start)Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications, • Certification: NMTCB is required (No substitutions accepted)., • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience., • Travel Experience: First-time travelers are accepted., • Key Skill Requirement: PET experience is a MUST., • Bone & Brain Scans: 3 phase, Limited, Whole Body, Cerebral Blood Flow, • Liver/Spleen Scans: Liver Flow, Liver Imaging, Liver Scan-Hemangioma, • Lung Scans: DTPA Aerosol, Perfusion, Ventilation/Perfusion, • Renal Flow: Flow/Function, Renal/Perfusion, 3 Phase, With Lasix, • Thyroid Studies: Cancer Survey, I-123 Uptake Scan, Uptake Scan, • Tumor Localization: Limited, Whole Body, • SPECT (Single-Photon Emission CT): Bone, Brain, Liver, Renal, Sestamibi parathyroid scan, • Myocardial: Pharmacological Stress, Thallium stress test, • Other Procedures: Gastric Emptying, HIDA Scan, Muga Scan, PET Scan, • Professional Skills: Drawing Venous Blood, Isolation Precautions, Management/lead experience, Start and maintain Peripheral IV, Storing/Handling/Disposal of Radioactive MaterialsUnit & Schedule Details, • Daily Census: 14-21 patients, • Number of Rooms: 3, • Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, • Common Diagnoses/Scans: Bone Scans, Hida Scans, Lung Scans, • Equipment: All GE equipment, • Charting System: EPIC (Experience Required), • Float Requirement: Yes – Must be willing to float to other Charlotte-area medical centers, • Call Requirement: Yes – On a rotating schedule for Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM (6-hour call window).
