About Us Anjuna Sports Acupuncture, founded in 2013, is Eugene's specialty clinic for sports medicine acupuncture, performance recovery, and integrated orthopedic care. We combine precision needling with modern performance science to help athletes and active individuals recover faster and stay in the game. Our practice is grounded in evidence-based orthopedic acupuncture protocols using DBC ProMaxx needles, treating patients across the full activity spectrum: older adults keeping up their fitness routines, everyday movers managing the demands of work and family, and competitive athletes preparing for their next event. We participate in community treatment of University of Oregon Duck Athletes and partner with the broader Eugene running, cycling, and outdoor athletics community. The Role This is an onsite clinical role focused on delivering high-quality sports and orthopedic acupuncture treatment. You will manage your own treatment room, build a roster of returning patients sourced from our existing referral base, and collaborate directly with the owner on integrated treatment approaches. The role is designed to grow with you: part-time hours to start, with a defined pathway to expanded clinical hours, lead clinician status, and structured profit participation as the clinic continues to scale. Anjuna handles scheduling, intake, billing, and marketing through dedicated staff so that you can focus on patient care. Schedule • 15-30 patient-facing hours per week (W2), with flexible weekday blocks., • Optional Saturday hours available based on clinic needs., • Defined pathway to expanded hours and full-time status as the clinic grows., • Projected start date: within four to six weeks of offer. Key Responsibilities Patient Care (70%) • Deliver high-quality sports acupuncture treatments using a combination of orthopedic acupuncture, motor point needling, electroacupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and adjunctive modalities., • Perform structured intake including functional movement assessment, postural analysis, orthopedic testing, and review of relevant imaging or referral documentation., • Develop and adjust evidence-based treatment plans with defined functional outcomes., • Document treatments using SOAP notes within Unified Practice., • Educate patients on mobility, strengthening, and home recovery strategies. Clinical Excellence & Collaboration (30%) • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, PHI handling, infectious disease protocols, and Clean Needle Technique (CNT) standards., • Adhere to all applicable Oregon Medical Board guidelines for acupuncture practice., • Participate in weekly clinical case review sessions with the clinic team., • Collaborate with Dr. Heide and referral partners on advanced integrated treatment plans., • Maintain a treatment room that meets clinical standards for cleanliness, safety, and patient comfort., • Other duties as requested or assigned. Qualifications Required • Active acupuncture license in good standing., • National Exams completed and able to apply for an Oregon Acupuncture license, or current Oregon Acupuncture license in good standing., • Doctorate in Acupuncture (DAOM, DAcCHM, DACM)., • Current personal professional liability and malpractice insurance., • Current CPR/BLS certification., • Demonstrated working knowledge of HIPAA compliance, PHI handling, and Clean Needle Technique. Preferred • 1+ years of clinical experience treating sports, orthopedic, or chronic pain patients., • Active or in-progress Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification (leading to the C.SMA designation), or similar orthopedic sports acupuncture specialist training pipeline., • Familiarity with motor point needling, electroacupuncture, trigger-point release, cupping, gua sha, and instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques., • Working knowledge of Unified Practice, or similar EHR., • Adjacent credentials such as ND, DC, FNP, APRN, ATC, CSCS, or LMT are a strong plus., • Completed cultural competency continuing education aligned with the Oregon Medical Board. Credentialing Requirements Anjuna Sports Acupuncture is in-network with PacificSource, Regence BCBS, Moda, UnitedHealthcare, ASH, and Kaiser. The start date for this role is conditional upon credentialing being completed (or, in the case of Kaiser, submitted and actively pending) with these payers prior to the first patient visit. Anjuna does not supervise billing under the clinic owner's license during the credentialing window. The clinic provides all required attestations, group affiliation documentation, and process support; final responsibility for timely application submission and follow-through rests with the provider. Credentialing typically requires 60–120 days from application to approval per payer. Compensation & Benefits Base Compensation • Billable hourly rate: $55.00 – $60.00 per patient-facing hour, depending on experience, credentials and demonstrated clinical proficiency., • Paid bi-weekly, W2 classification. Work Environment Standard outpatient clinic environment with regular in-person interaction with patients, providers, and co-workers.
