Job Description Full Service Real Estate and Property Management Company seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team! *FULLY IN OFFICE Job Summary The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions with a strong focus on onsite check processing, cash receipts, billing allocations, and payment tracking. This role ensures timely, accurate processing of payments, invoices, and charge batches while maintaining compliance with internal controls and company procedures. QUALIFICATIONS • 1+ years Accounting or related experience, • Experience with check processing, invoice coding, and payment tracking., • Familiarity with Avid, AvidPay, or similar accounting systems a plus., • Experience with MRI or property managment software a plus, • Experience out of real estate or related a plus, • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills., • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment, • Experience with excel RESPONSIBILITIES: • Record all incoming cash receipts for the corporate disbursement account., • Prepare and submit cash receipt batches for review and posting., • Assist with posting manual payments in AP for select wires, ACH, and online payments., • Assist with the weekly check run including online payment system and paper checks., • Manage the daily payment tracking queue to ensure all required checks are printed accurately and on time., • Print, assemble, and mail checks according to documented instructions., • Process charge batches for various property billing., • Process and apply credits to properties, ensuring proper allocation., • Assist with billbacks and allocations for vendors., • Perform weekly UPS allocations every Monday., • Code invoices after rent-up processing and charge batch completion and route them through Avid., • Monitor Avid for construction management fee invoices and prepare related charge batches., • Input monthly management fee amounts into tracking sheets for billing., • Maintain accurate records to support audits, reconciliations, and internal reporting., • Track real estate tax payments and ensure accurate recording and follow-up.
