POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Provides professional level skills required in the clinical practice of mental health counseling and crisis intervention, affording direct services to individuals housed in the adult detention center. Screens and identifies inmates who are mentally ill, have substance use issues, and/or may be at risk for suicide and make the appropriate referral for further assessment. Works as a therapeutic agent as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide evaluation, treatment planning and service coordination for those in adult detention.
