Patient Care & Safety • Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence during all procedures., • Verify patient identification per AHS policy., • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and HIPAA compliance., • Communicate with patients and families before, during, and after procedures to reduce anxiety., • Assess patient condition before and after contrast injections., • Screen for allergies and medication incompatibilities., • Assess patient ability to tolerate contrast media., • Initiate emergency response in case of complications., • Notify radiologist of any unusual findings immediately.2. Imaging & Procedure Management, • Perform CT procedures following established protocols., • Obtain required medical, surgical, and radiological supplies., • Maintain sterility of instruments and procedural fields., • Prepare requisitions accurately., • Ensure availability of medical records, labs, prior reports, and patient history., • Acquire, process, send, and verify images in PACS/RIS systems., • Follow urgent imaging protocols for Code Grey, Trauma, and Partial Trauma cases., • Notify radiologist as images are transmitted., • Adhere to venipuncture and power injector protocols.3. Workflow Coordination (Point Staff Duties), • Triage procedures based on daily schedule when assigned as Point staff., • Coordinate emergency and unscheduled procedure requests., • Assign staff to maintain efficient workflow and patient safety., • Communicate patient status with departments and hospital floors., • Ensure timely patient transport post-procedure., • Assist in routine imaging procedures.4. Equipment, QA/QC & Compliance, • Maintain QA/QC standards per daily, monthly, and ACR requirements., • Recognize unusual equipment operation., • Report equipment malfunctions to Coordinator, Lead, or appropriate personnel., • Maintain cleanliness of CT unit and working areas., • Clean CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use.5. Inventory & Supply Management, • Maintain adequate linen supplies in scanning rooms., • Maintain contrast media and biopsy/drainage supplies., • Follow CT room assignments (CT 1, 2, and 3)., • Assist in CT storeroom and outside inventory management., • Participate in daily inventory and stocking., • Notify Lead of expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications., • Clean and inventory supplies.Education Requirements, • High School Diploma or GED., • Completion of accredited Radiography Technical Training Program.Required Certifications & Licensure, • ARRT RT (R), • ARRT RT (CT), • NJDEP – New Jersey State X-Ray License, • Weekly pay, • Medical benefits
