Job Description Role Overview The Marketing & E-Commerce Operations Manager at Ancestral Raw Nutrition plays a dual role: driving strategic marketing initiatives while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all digital sales channels. This position supports our mission of providing premium raw pet nutrition by expanding brand awareness, increasing online sales, and ensuring operational excellence across Shopify, Faire, Amazon FBA, wholesale accounts, and local partnerships. Key Responsibilities 1. Marketing Strategy, Content & Brand Growth • Develop and execute weekly and monthly marketing campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Email (Klaviyo), and SMS., • Create content calendars aligned with ARN product launches, seasonal promotions, and educational storytelling (Papa & Ember storyline, transformation posts, etc.)., • Manage video/photo content creation, including TikTok trends, product showcases, UGC requests, and AI-assisted visuals when appropriate., • Oversee copywriting for product descriptions, ads, emails, blogs, and SEO content — reinforcing ARN’s natural, premium, science-backed brand voice., • Track marketing performance (CTR, conversion, AOV, CPA, ROAS) and adjust strategies for maximum ROI. 2. E-Commerce Operations (Shopify, Faire, Amazon FBA) • Maintain and optimize all product listings: images, SEO keywords, pricing, tags, variants, bundles, and metafields., • Coordinate new product uploads (raw blends, dehydrated treats, bulk items, limited editions, etc.) including accurate descriptions, feeding guidelines, and compliance disclaimers., • Manage inventory sync across Shopify, Faire, and Amazon; ensure FNSKU updates, barcode integration, and stock accuracy., • Support packaging transitions (new labels, new artwork, ingredient updates)., • Oversee promotions, discount codes, subscriptions, reward program setup, and loyalty improvements. 3. Operations, Fulfillment & Logistics Coordination • Work closely with production to understand availability, batch yields, and turnaround times., • Assist with wholesale order coordination — invoicing, scheduling, reminders, and retailer communications., • Ensure smooth shipping: 2-Day Air guidelines, cold-chain compliance, regional shipping restrictions., • Manage customer service workflows: Shopify inbox, email, Faire messages, Amazon support tickets., • Track and organize documentation: seller’s permits, wholesale forms, contracts, retailer agreements, and compliance files. 4. Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement • Prepare weekly dashboards: sales by SKU, margin analysis, best performers, new customers, wholesale activity, and trend insights., • Monitor website KPIs: conversion rate, traffic sources, abandoned carts, LTV, and repeat purchase behavior., • Identify opportunities to introduce new items (seasonal treats, bundles, wholesale-only SKUs, etc.)., • Analyze marketing spend vs revenue to ensure efficient scaling. 5. Cross-Team Collaboration & Vendor Coordination • Work directly with founders (Stephani & Manny) to align growth goals, product launches, and brand direction., • Coordinate with photographers, videographers, designers, influencers, wholesalers, and marketplace reps., • Assist with trade show planning (e.g., SuperZoo) including booth materials, catalogs, banners, and promotional assets., • Maintain brand standards across all platforms: packaging, visuals, messaging, disclaimers, and compliance. Qualifications • Experience in Shopify, Klaviyo, Faire, Amazon Seller Central, or similar platforms., • Strong skills in marketing, content creation, data analytics, and digital operations., • Excellent communication and organization — ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-growing production environment., • Familiarity with pet nutrition, raw feeding, or the pet industry is a major plus., • Comfortable in a small-business, hands-on environment with rapid changes and high creativity. Success Indicators • Increased online revenue, higher conversion rates, and reduced marketing cost per sale., • Smooth listing management across all platforms with accurate stock and compliance., • Growth in social media reach, engagement, and brand presence., • Stronger wholesale relationships and improved repeat order rates., • Efficient operations that support ARN’s commitment to quality, transparency, and exceptional customer service.
