TEXTILE PRODUCTION MANAGER Position: Full-Time, Exempt Reports To: Vice President of Operations Location: On-Site, Warehouse Location - Colorado Springs, CO Schedule: Monday - Friday (40 h) Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annual DOE Brist Mfg. is seeking an experienced Textile Production Manager to lead our warehouse, inventory, fulfillment operations, and domestic production on-site, at our 20,000 sq ft Colorado Springs, CO-based location. Our ideal candidate brings a minimum of 7 years of applicable operations experience that includes production management, team supervision, KPI and metrics accountability, project management, technology and computer curiosity and literacy, 3PL/fulfillment expertise, and demonstrated leadership in process improvement to identify and implement LEAN (Kaizen) initiatives. This position requires strong problem-solving and space optimization skills; effective, timely, and accurate communication across the organization; the ability to drive processes and results forward within time constraints; and attention to detail. The individual should feel comfortable solving complex issues and proactively asking questions. POSITION SUMMARY: This position plans, oversees and coordinates daily production and warehouse activities to ensure departmental and company goals are achieved, provides administrative and troubleshooting fulfillment support to the e-Commerce team, drives lean and continuous improvement initiatives, and is responsible for the full transition of inbound and outbound materials, shipping and logistics, and the accuracy of inventory transactions associated with Rora Blanks and the sales sample stores. This position reports directly to and meets regularly with the VP of Operations to review metrics and KPI reports and provide warehouse labor and process improvement updates. The Textile Production Manager is responsible for a small team of 5-6 team members and seasonal temporary labor. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Inventory Management: Monitor and optimize inventory receiving, allocation, and shipping Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies to improve workflow and productivity Streamline order processing, warehousing, and distribution Team Leadership: Lead and manage operations staff, providing training and support Foster a collaborative work environment focused on achieving company goals Quality Control: Ensure all products meet quality standards before shipping Manage returns, exchanges, and customer satisfaction issues Data Analysis and Reporting: Track operational KPIs and prepare regular performance reports Use data insights to recommend improvements and cost-saving measures DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee the daily operations, production and maintenance of a 20,000 sq ft warehouse, • Drive daily standups with the entire team and direct daily activities related to all production, inventory, fulfillment and shipping operations, • Learn/adapt and work within Brist Mfg. Operating System (ERP / Ship Hero), • Operate a clean, well organized warehouse and production area, implement daily Lean 3S/5S initiatives, create a place for every needed tool/resource and red tag unnecessary items, • Optimize the warehouse layout, racking, workstations and equipment to maximize space utilization, reducing movement and creating efficiencies as necessary to scale for growth, • Oversee patch inventory and all related ERP transactions and functions, • Measure productivity and evaluate direct and temporary staffing needs based on metrics, performance, capacity, seasonal staffing needs, determine labor needs to meet production goals, • Ensure on-time deliveries of shipments including: partner, customer and tradeshow deliveries, produce quality shipments that reflect Brist Mfg. practices and SOP’s, • Manage accurate internal and external communication, provide timely resolution to problems and unforeseen issues, • Prepare, update and post organization’s warehouse operating policies, • Meet regularly with staff to provide ongoing job performance feedback, trial period and annual reviews. Provide strong leadership, motivation, supervision and training to department leads and production team members, • Work closely with the VP of Operations and HR Department to recruit and hire, onboard, provide employee feedback, disciplinary action and evaluate performance, • When required, partner with local temporary agencies to flex workforce needs to meet seasonal spikes and special project timelines, • Constantly evaluate and when necessary, re-align team to ensure that the team workload is balanced and is working efficiently, • Ensure QC and AQL procedures are current, gather metrics and initiate corrective action, • Lead improvements in shipping methods, reductions in shipping rates and materials, • Work with the warehouse team to build and maintain a library of current SOP’s and training materials, • Ensure OSHA warehouse and equipment regulations and safety compliance, complete and submit OSHA state annual reports, • Onboard new equipment, ensure existing equipment is maintained and in working order, • Perform other related duties as required QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, TRAITS: • Bachelor's or AA degree or, related education and experience, • A minimum of 7 years experience in managing production and warehouse operations (apparel, textiles and/or merchandise experience preferred), • Lean/Six Sigma experience (certifications preferred), • Computer acumen/literacy, • Demonstrated experience using ERP and/or applicable operating and fulfillment systems, • Domestic and international shipping experience, understanding of shipping and LTL freight processes, use of FED EX, UPS, USPS operating systems, • Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail, • Strong problem solving and space optimization skills, • Ability to lead and inspire others through mentoring and training up employees, • Flexible with the ability to prioritize and manage changing demands with growth, • Ability to collaborate across teams to achieve department, company and customer results, • Positive, can-do attitude, problem solver, • Consistent work ethic, time management skills, and self-motivation, • Driven to learn and take on new responsibilities, • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management, Shopify, • Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs Benefits • Health, dental, and vision insurance., • Paid time off and holiday pay., • Simple IRA retirement plan with company match., • Hands on training with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
