Location: Los Gatos, CA / Bay Area project sites Compensation: $100,000–$120,000+ per year, plus performance-based bonus Employment Type: Full-Time Project Scope: Senior living, assisted living, retirement community, multifamily, and occupied commercial construction projects Licenses / Certifications: None required The Opportunity A & G Construction, Inc. is hiring a Project Manager to lead construction projects across senior living, assisted living, retirement community, and multifamily environments throughout the Bay Area. This is a strong opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys managing projects, building client relationships, leading field teams, and working in a collaborative family-owned company. Our work is specialized, relationship-driven, and often performed in active senior living communities where professionalism, communication, and attention to detail matter every day. This is not a standard residential construction PM role. A & G supports senior living communities with unit turns, renovations, community spaces, concrete, waterproofing, balconies, structural repairs, site improvements, and other occupied-property construction projects. The right person will be technically capable, organized, team-oriented, and willing to learn A & G’s proven way of serving long-term clients. What You’ll Do • Manage senior living, retirement community, multifamily, and occupied commercial construction projects from planning through completion., • Oversee daily project execution, field coordination, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, and internal communication., • Review plans, scopes, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation., • Coordinate with facility directors, executive directors, marketing teams, residents, staff, subcontractors, and internal team members., • Maintain project schedules, timelines, budgets, updates, and documentation., • Use Microsoft 365, Excel, Teams, Zoom, and internal systems to track work and communicate clearly., • Lead field crews and subcontractors while maintaining a clean, professional, resident-sensitive jobsite., • Help identify scope gaps, project risks, schedule issues, and client concerns before they become larger problems., • Collaborate with other PMs and team members to share knowledge, solve problems, and keep projects moving., • Represent A & G with professionalism, humility, and a strong client-service mindset. What We’re Looking For • 3+ years of construction project management experience., • Experience managing commercial, multifamily, senior living, hospitality, occupied-site, renovation, or related construction projects., • Strong ability to read plans, scopes, drawings, and specifications., • Experience coordinating subcontractors, crews, vendors, schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation., • Strong communication skills with clients, field teams, vendors, and internal leadership., • Professional presence and client-facing confidence., • Ability to work in active senior living or occupied environments with care, respect, and attention to cleanliness., • Collaborative, coachable, team-first working style., • Comfortable learning A & G’s specific process and adapting to how the company successfully serves its clients., • Ability to travel between Bay Area project sites, especially the Los Gatos, Cupertino/Sunnyvale, and Palo Alto corridor. Preferred Experience • Experience with senior living, assisted living, retirement communities, multifamily, hospitality, or occupied commercial properties., • Background with unit turns, renovations, concrete, waterproofing, balconies, structural repairs, or site improvement work., • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is helpful but not required., • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, Teams, Zoom, and construction project management tools., • Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus.
