The Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive evaluation and management of athletes with musculoskeletal injuries, bone stress injuries, hormonal and menstrual concerns, and other conditions impacting health and performance. Additional responsibilities include guiding safe return-to-play, addressing sport-related mental health and nutrition considerations in collaboration with our dietitians and mental health clinicians, and delivering evidence-based care. As an integral part of a multidisciplinary team in a women-focused and elite athlete healthcare environment, this position supports a wide range of health, sports performance, and scientific initiatives. Tasks performed by the Doping Control Officer (DCO) include preparation for, execution of and post-collection administration as it relates to Doping Control both at events and in the out-of-competition setting. DCOs are the field facing representatives of USADA. The primary objective of the DCO is to conduct Doping Control throughout the United States, under direction of the Doping Control Operations team, for Olympic, Paralympic, and Client Services testing teams, in support of USADAs mission and vision. The DCO works with the HQ team to uphold USADAs goals of creating and maintaining a fair and healthy environment for all athletes. The role will include both local and national travel to conduct Doping Control assignments. The following job expectations, responsibilities, and qualifications apply to both the DCO I and DCO II positions, however, in order to qualify for a DCO II level, one must have a valid phlebotomy credential in good standing, as further outlined below. A DCO II is able to serve as a doping control officer that can draw blood. Job Description Do you have what it takes to inspire and train young athletes to reach their full potential? Collaborate with our Head Coach to create enriching, supportive and memorable experiences for children enrolled in our program. This valuable and valued position assists the Head Swim Team Coach with a strength and injury prevention program to supplement the in-water swim team workouts. Supporting high levels of community and accountability with participants is key to this role while supporting the overall mission and season plan outlined by the Head Coach. The Strength and Endurance coach will provide quality exercise instruction while delivering high-energy, motivating, joyful, and memorable class experiences for all participants. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coaching Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality, evidence-based strength, conditioning, agility, power and speed training and coaching to a variety of young swimmers, • Prepare workouts on a weekly basis based on phase of training and swimmers’ needs/ability., • Maintain a focus on technique, skill development and athlete development., • Coordinate training methodologies, drills and practice group goals with Head Coach, • Work closely with the Aquatics staff and other coaches to promote the club as a whole., • Participate in staff trainings., • Attend all coach’s meetings (approximately 4-5 per year), • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized studio, ensuring that equipment is properly stowed., • Open communication to ensure education and communication on all aspects of long term athletic development., • Actively create a welcoming dynamic where each individual is valued and welcomed., • Actively participate as an essential member of the Aquatics team., • Support JCC Greater Boston’s mission, vision, and values of belonging, joyfulness, collaboration and transformation, including through personal role modeling., • Participate in all staff meetings and trainings as assigned and contribute to overall organizational success. Possess excellent organizational and communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to quickly adapt to change and problem solve. Bachelor’s degree in physical education, or an exercise or fitness related field is a benefit, but not required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the JCC’s discretion to meet minimum criteria. Skills and Abilities: Must display management and supervisory skills. Computer skills (e-mail, Word and Excel) required. Excellent customer service and communications skills required. Physical Requirements: Able to work well in a busy, dynamic and sometimes noisy environment involving multiple tasks and priorities. Able to lift and carry objects weighing at 30-40 pounds. Able to sit and kneel; getting down at eye level with children regularly.
