This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing a team of sales and technical professionals, ensuring project quality, and maintaining client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with expertise in AV systems, strong business acumen, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. Key Responsibilities • Team Leadership and Management:, • Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of AV sales representatives, designers, and installation technicians., • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance team skills., • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to maximize team productivity and morale., • Sales and Business Development:, • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the AV division’s market share., • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, builders and industry partners., • Oversee the preparation of proposals, quotes, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client needs., • Project Oversight:, • Manage the end-to-end process of AV projects, from initial consultation and design to installation and post-installation support., • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards., • Coordinate with our electrical department to ensure seamless integration of AV systems., • Technical Expertise:, • Stay current on industry trends, emerging AV technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge., • Provide technical guidance to the team and clients on AV system design, equipment selection, and installation., • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies., • Financial and Operational Management:, • Develop and manage the department’s budget, including forecasting revenue and controlling costs., • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, project profitability, and customer satisfaction., • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery., • Customer Service:, • Ensure exceptional customer experiences through timely communication and high-quality service delivery. Qualifications Qualifications • Education and Experience:, • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV system design, sales, or installation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role., • Skills and Competencies:, • Proven track record in sales, with the ability to drive revenue and meet targets., • Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, including home automation, sound systems, video displays, control systems, and networking., • Control4, Lutron, and significant networking expertise required, • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail., • Proficiency in project management tools, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite., • Certifications (Preferred):, • Contro4 programming certification, • Lutron Programming and Design certification, • Cisco networking or comparable, • Attributes:, • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset., • Problem-solver with the ability to make decisions under pressure., • This position requires travel to client sites or industry events., • Some evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines or client needs., • Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environments (e.g., construction sites, client facilities).
