Expectations and Responsibilities Document This document outlines the expectations and responsibilities for the Operations Manager in the role of managing Reynolds Laundromat and Laundry Stork operations. Responsibilities: • Maintain successful daily operations 7 days a week, 7am-9pm, • Manage the attendants and employees, • Support where needed to maintain seamless laundry operations if other Attendants need time off or is on vacation, • Maintain cleanliness and customer service standards outlined in the attendant checklist, • Keep laundry vending machines stocked on a weekly basis, • Collect coins on weekly and deposit money in the safe for bank deposit, • Pay attendants each week, • Solve day-to-day machine and customer issues to create the best laundromat in town and maintain 5-star reviews, • Maintain a regular in-store working schedule as mutually agreed upon, • Inspect machines for cleanliness and proper operation; clean dryer lint traps, • Use paper system to track responsibilities (Attendant Weekly Pay, Wash/Dry/Fold Customer Sheet, Cash Collection Sheet, Cleanliness Checklist), • Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and schedule repairs as needed, • Monitor utility usage and implement energy-saving measures, • Ensure proper chemical usage and inventory management Performance Metrics: • Customer satisfaction rating (target: (10) 5 star reviews each month), • Equipment uptime (target: ≥98%), • Cleanliness audit score (target: ≥95%), • Revenue growth (target: 5% per quarter), • Cost reduction initiatives (target: 5% savings per quarter) Responsibilities: • Manage pickup and delivery logistics, • Communicate with customers using established customer communication guidelines, • Turn on washers and dryers for the attendant, • Maintain high-quality standards for customers with perfect folds, bagging, and delivery, • Attend laundry education seminars and online training, • Visit competing laundromats to learn best practices and test their services, • Manage marketing campaigns focused on growth, • Create marketing materials to attract new customers, • Call and visit potential customers daily to grow new accounts, • Manage employees, vehicles, and operations growth as needed, • Manage expense accounts for the business with accountability measures, • Implement a customer feedback system and act on insights, • Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses (e.g., hotels, gyms), • Create and manage a loyalty program for repeat customers, • Optimize routes for efficient pickup and delivery Performance Metrics: • New customer acquisition (target: 5 new customers per month), • Customer retention rate (target: ≥90%), • On-time pickup and delivery rate (target: ≥98%), • Customer satisfaction rating (target: ≥4.8/5), • Revenue growth (target: X% year-over-year) Leadership team will meet quarterly to review progress and set collaborative goals for the upcoming period. These goals will be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). Example goals include: 1. Increase Reynolds Laundromat's monthly revenue by 15% within the next 6 months, 2. Expand Laundry Stork's customer base by 25% within the next year, 3. Implement two new cost-saving measures at the laundromat within the next quarter, 4. Launch a new marketing campaign for Laundry Stork that generates 50 new leads within 3 months, 5. Create List of Coffee Shops and Restaurants to visit in next quarter, 6. Weekly check-ins: Manager will provide a weekly summary of key metrics and activities to owner, 7. Monthly Leadership Meetings: Leadership will meet monthly to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities., 8. Quarterly goal-setting sessions: Both parties will review and set new goals every three months., 9. Performance-based incentives: [To be determined by both parties] Duties • Supervise daily operations of laundromat, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies, • Oversee laundry and cleaning services, maintaining quality control and timely turnaround of guest items, • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction, • Manage cleaning schedules and ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards to create a welcoming environment, • Handle cashiering duties, including cash handling, processing payments accurately, and balancing registers at shift end, • Train and motivate staff on service protocols, safety procedures, and operational best practices, • Proven experience in management or hospitality roles with strong leadership skills, • Knowledge of cleaning, laundry processes, and cleaning standards within a hospitality setting, • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally, • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and inventory management, • Experience with cashiering systems and cash register operations, • Ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Benefits: • On-the-job training, • Opportunities for advancement, • Paid training, • Professional development assistance Work Location: In person
