We are seeking a dynamic Senior Associate who is not only experienced in family law but also energized by legal innovation and committed to shaping the future of the field. Position Summary: This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney who thrives in leadership, enjoys mentoring others, and is excited to engage with complex and evolving legal challenges. The Senior Associate will lead high-impact cases, contribute to the strategic direction of the firm, and have the opportunity to take on work in cutting-edge areas such as fertility law, LGBTQ+ family issues, and international family law. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a full caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and property division., • Handle complex, high-conflict, or novel issues including assisted reproduction, parentage, and asset tracing., • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements with exceptional attention to detail., • Lead hearings, mediations, and trials while providing strategic counsel to clients at every stage., • Supervise and mentor junior associates, paralegals, and interns., • Contribute to firm-wide thought leadership through writing, speaking, or CLE participation in emerging areas of family law., • Collaborate with firm leadership to shape internal processes, practice development, and client services. Ideal Candidate Profile: • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the South Carolina Bar., • At least 5 years of family law experience, with trial or complex case experience preferred., • Demonstrated interest in evolving legal issues, including technology, fertility law, or nontraditional family structures., • Outstanding legal writing, oral advocacy, and client communication skills., • Collaborative mindset with proven ability to lead, mentor, and build teams., • High level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and client empathy.
