THE ROLE PSCG is hiring experienced Caregiver Supervisors to lead day-to-day caregiver operations at U.S. Border Patrol facilities, providing care for unaccompanied children and minor children of family units in CBP custody. As the on-site Supervisor, you are responsible for the safety, professionalism, documentation, and morale of your caregiver team — and the on-site point of accountability for delivery of the Statement of Work. This is a working leadership role: you will run shift turnovers, manage logs and inventory, serve as the liaison to USBP personnel and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and step into direct caregiver duties whenever your team needs you. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Oversee the day-to-day performance of all Caregiver personnel at the assigned location, holding the line on PREA, trauma-informed care, and SOW compliance., • Run shift turnovers — verify staffing levels, brief incoming caregivers, hand off open issues, and ensure mixed-gender coverage at all times., • Maintain the shift log: personnel scheduled, breaks, meal periods, surge actions, and any operational events occurring during the watch., • At Juvenile Priority Facilities, ensure one Supervisor is on station 24/7 by coordinating scheduling and coverage with peer supervisors., • Step in and perform Caregiver duties directly during unexpected absences, surges, or shift turnovers until full Caregiver coverage is restored., • Coach Caregivers on trauma-informed practice, professional conduct, and DHS/CBP rules of behavior; identify training gaps and coordinate refreshers with the PSCG Program Manager., • Address performance and conduct issues quickly, fairly, and in line with PSCG HR policy and the SOW., • Maintain accurate inventory of Government-furnished clothing, towels, and hygiene kits; notify USBP of low stock so resupply is initiated before shortages affect care., • Coordinate with USBP personnel and on-site medical staff on suspected medical or mental health concerns; ensure referrals are made in real time., • Serve as on-site liaison for the COR; respond to taskings, requests for information, and inspections promptly and professionally., • Enforce sign-in/sign-out, PIV credentialing, and DHS Form 1100-6 NDA compliance for every team member, every shift. WHAT YOU NEED • All Caregiver qualifications, plus:, • Two or more years of supervisory experience in a childcare, residential care, family services, federal contract, military, or comparable environment with direct accountability for staff performance., • Demonstrated experience in personnel management, directing operations, and decision-making under pressure., • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in social work, human services, criminal justice, education, or a related field strongly preferred., • Fully bilingual — English and Spanish — with the ability to brief, document, and de-escalate in both languages., • Ability to pass a CBP federal Background Investigation (BI)., • Strong written communication — shift logs, incident write-ups, and reports to the PSCG Program Manager and the COR must be clear, accurate, and on time., • Physical ability to bend, stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; lift up to 40 pounds; and maintain continuous visual contact with children. WHAT WE'D ALSO LIKE TO SEE • Prior leadership in HHS/ORR UC shelters, Emergency Influx Facilities, ICE family residential centers, or DHS/CBP holding facilities., • Prior federal contract supervisory experience under the Service Contract Act., • State daycare licensing experience or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential., • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar de-escalation certification., • Military, law enforcement, or first-responder background with shift-leadership experience., • Experience implementing PREA standards in a custodial setting.
